About the Role

We're looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Creative Writing Educator to lead an engaging after-school program and help students develop their writing, storytelling, and creative expression skills.

Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 3:30 PM-4:30 PM
Estimated Start Date: September 14, 2026
Estimated End Date: December 3, 2026
Hourly Pay Rate: $50

In this role, you will:
  • Lead an engaging after-school Creative Writing program for students from Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through 8th grade
  • Ensure student safety and well-being at all times
  • Foster creativity, confidence, self-expression, and communication skills through writing activities
  • Plan and lead engaging creative writing lessons, storytelling exercises, and skill-building activities
  • Adapt instruction to different ages, writing levels, learning styles, and interests
  • Encourage students to explore their imagination, develop their own ideas, and express themselves through writing
  • Facilitate positive social interactions, collaboration, and peer feedback
  • Effectively manage student behavior using positive reinforcement and an encouraging approach
  • Maintain accurate attendance and incident records
  • Prepare and organize writing materials and activities, keeping the classroom space clean, organized, and safe

Requirements

  • 18+ years of age
  • Ability and willingness to complete 3 hours of online training prior to the start date. (Concussion Training, Mandated Reporter, First Aid & CPR)
  • Authorization to work in the US
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.
