Job description

SUMMARY
The Creative Services Manager is responsible for stewarding Cable Bullet's visual brand across all customer-facing touchpoints. This role leads the creative team, sets and maintains visual standards, and ensures that our brand shows up with clarity, consistency, and excellence across digital, print, and video. Creative Services Manager is also expected to be a capable practitioner who can step in and execute graphic and web-adjacent design work as needed. The Creative Services Manager balances hands-on creative contributions with team leadership, helping the team do their best work while staying aligned with Cable Bullet's mission, values, and business goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Creative Direction, Brand Stewardship & Execution (60% of the job)
  • Directs Cable Bullet's visual identity across all channels, setting clear standards that ensure consistent, high-quality brand expression.
  • Leads the development of creative briefs that translate marketing strategy into something the team can execute; keeping creative direction grounded in business objectives.
  • Directs the development and implementation of customer-facing creative assets, balancing brand integrity with marketing performance across campaigns, projects, and initiatives.
  • Reviews and approves creative work decisively to maintain alignment and momentum, serving as the primary creative decision-maker and escalating only when strategic input is genuinely needed.
  • Collaborates closely with marketing, sales, product development, and leadership to ensure creative output is pulling in the same direction as the business.
  • Contributes hands-on creative work; design, layout, web support, art direction, and stepping in where needed to maintain quality and keep things moving.

Team Leadership & Development (40% of the job)
  • Leads the creative team with a collaborative, trust-based approach, creating space for designers to own their work and grow within it.
  • Sets clear expectations, priorities, and quality standards - and backs them up with feedback and coaching that builds both skill and confidence.
  • Partners with the project coordinator and ops to plan realistic timelines, manage creative workflows, and keep delivery predictable and high-quality.
  • Stays ahead of gaps in skillset or capacity, working with leadership to address them through hiring, contractors, or evolving how the team is structured

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing, graphic design / digital arts, or other related field preferred; will consider an equivalent combination of education and transferable skills/experience.
  • Experience: 3+ years of progressive experience in marketing and/or graphic design. Demonstrated experience with advanced problem-solving, leading marketing campaigns/ projects, and mentoring others.
  • Functional Skills: Ability to translate business and marketing objectives into clear creative direction; Ability to make independent decisions while maintaining brand standards and priorities; Ability to communicate creative concepts clearly across teams and disciplines; Ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and priorities effectively; Ability to maintain organized creative systems and workflows; Ability to work proficiently in industry-standard creative and design tools, adapting to evolving platforms, market trends, and business needs.
  • Technology Aptitude/Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; Aptitude for optimizing AI to support creative processes; Advanced in common digital marketing and design platforms, with an aptitude for quickly learning new tools in line with marketing trends.
  • Language Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; will present and interact with key customers, vendors, opinion leaders, as well as all levels of the organization to lead and facilitate creative marketing and brand strategies.
  • Leadership/Behaviors: Demonstrated experience leading and developing creative professionals in a marketing or design environment. Proven ability to make independent decisions within established brand standards and business priorities. Experience influencing cross-functional partners and leadership through clear communication and sound judgment.
