Art Director/Designer

Collaborative Model
We work in a flexible/hybrid model in the office Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Tuesdays and Fridays are work from home days. Our office is located in the North Loop Neighborhood of Minneapolis, Minnesota. And yes, we were here before it was cool.

Core Responsibilities

  • Exhibit strong conceptual skills and a solid knowledge of the digital landscape
  • Concept and design print, audio, video, and digital creative; render masterful typography, and provide photo and motion art direction
  • Bring brand identities and design systems to life in ways that communicate the true DNA of organizations through use of logo, iconography, typography, colors, illustration, and other visual elements
  • Collaborate with teams of creatives, strategists and account leads to create a high volume of work on time, on budget and on point
  • Participate in brainstorms, and deliver best-in-class creative that exceeds client objectives
  • Translate creative direction into engaging and effective design
  • Develop in-depth content for online experiences and digital campaigns
  • Understand business objectives and audience demographics
  • Collaborate with creative teams to help determine conceptual campaign direction
  • Lead by example and mentor other creatives in as opportunities arise
  • Work closely with the Creative Director to build and optimize efficient processes and protocol to better the department
  • Execute polished client presentations demonstrating a clear vision of how the work addresses the client challenges

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in communication arts, graphic design, or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience on the visual side of the creative realm inside a marketing agency environment
  • Strong understanding of design principles and how they relate to brand
  • Ability to understand and turn clear strategy into brilliant creative expression
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to brainstorm, develop, and execute campaigns
  • Acute attention to detail and an ability to work within tight deadlines
