We are seeking a safety‐minded expert who will provide a positive experience for our customers and associates by applying advanced Asset Protection practices and maintaining a safe shopping and work environment. Responsibilities Build awareness and inspire by performing as a role model and executing the Saks OFF 5TH customer experience. Actively engage in store-wide communication regarding Asset Protection best practices, training, new hire orientation, and safety and shortage meetings. Contribute to the development, implementation, and execution of local shortage strategy, and audits as per company standards. Ensure physical security standards are maintained, initiating timely adjustments. Drive Asset Protection excellence by facilitating the selling process through consistent adherence to policies and procedures that safeguard customers, associates and company assets. Detect and detain shoplifters and complete related documentation by applying the five stages of arrest. Identify and present opportunities for improving Asset Protection strategies to senior leadership by compiling audit‐based reports and ensuring store‐wide shortage results meet or exceed company standards. Achieve investigative targets by identifying and addressing internal and external theft exposures, completing accident investigations and general-liability claims reports. Demonstrate a direct impact in high shortage departments through operational audits and internal self‐audits in sensitive areas. Be available to respond to after-hours alarm calls and emergency situations. Efficiently complete tasks and special projects as assigned by store leadership. Qualifications High‐school diploma or equivalent. Must satisfy and maintain all licensing requirements as required by state or local jurisdiction. Valid region/market‐specific security license per local government regulations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Aptitude and working knowledge of retail security and information systems, and productivity software. Awareness of retail procedures and criminal civil proceedings (asset). Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays. Analytical thinker with attention to detail. Problem‐solver who promotes a collaborative work environment and encourages creative thinking. Team‐oriented, diplomatic, and direct communicator who secures cooperation with minimal disruption.
