Job description

OVERVIEW
A globally recognized organization is seeking an Executive Leader of Creative Strategy to lead the vision, voice, and visual identity of an enterprise brand. This is a high-impact senior leadership role for a bold, imaginative creative who thrives at the intersection of brand, design, and storytelling.
You will set the strategic direction for a talented creative organization spanning multimedia production, editorial, content, and design — inspiring teams across a complex enterprise and ensuring every touchpoint reflects a cohesive, compelling brand narrative. The ideal candidate brings a refined design sensibility rooted in precision, clarity, and intentionality.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Set and champion the overarching creative vision, translating organizational goals into a unified, forward-thinking brand strategy across multimedia, editorial, content, and design.
• Lead and inspire cross-functional creative teams spanning design, copy, video, and multimedia production, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and accountability.
• Oversee the creative direction of multimedia and magazine/editorial output, ensuring a consistent and elevated brand voice across all formats.
• Drive integrated content strategies that connect across print, video, and digital channels, maintaining brand integrity while adapting to platform-specific needs.
• Oversee enterprise-scale campaign development from concept through execution, maintaining brand integrity while allowing for agile, format-specific adaptation.
• Build and maintain strategic partnerships with internal divisions and external agency partners, aligning creative output with broader organizational objectives.
• Establish and evolve brand guidelines, design systems, and creative standards that scale across a large, matrixed organization.
• Present and advocate for creative strategy to senior leadership, translating vision into measurable impact and building organizational buy-in.
• Identify emerging creative trends, tools, and technologies and evaluate their relevance to the brand's evolution.
• Mentor and develop senior creative talent, cultivating the next generation of creative leaders within the organization.
QUALIFICATIONS
• 12+ years of progressive creative leadership experience, with a portfolio that demonstrates strategic vision, design excellence, and brand-building at scale.
• Demonstrated success leading creative strategy across multimedia, editorial, content, and design disciplines for nationally recognized brands.
• Strong design sensibility with a command of visual hierarchy, composition, typography, and brand systems.
• Experience overseeing magazine or editorial creative direction alongside broader multimedia and campaign work.
• Experience managing and influencing large, cross-functional teams in matrixed organizational environments.
• Proven ability to operate at both the strategic and executional level — equally comfortable in the boardroom and the creative review.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to inspire stakeholders and articulate creative decisions with clarity and confidence.
• Track record of building high-performing creative teams and collaborative, feedback-driven cultures.
• Experience partnering with data, marketing, and technology teams to inform and elevate creative output.
• Agency, in-house, or hybrid experience welcomed; ability to bridge both mindsets is a plus.
Salary: $170,000-190,000 commensurate with experience
