Job description

Summary

The Commercial Flooring Sales Executive, will plan, develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to accomplish sales forecast and drive the revenue and profit growth for the flooring division. This is a creative sales position that allows you to manage opportunities for the sale of commercial flooring and or services in a defined territory or assigned vertical market.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate initiative by prospecting and closing sales leads
  • Consistently exceed customer expectations by adding real value at each phase of the sale, by being accountable to customers, and by making and keeping commitments.
  • Provide a consultative approach to selling by working to understand the customer's critical business needs and by delivering appropriate solutions with a sense of purpose and urgency.
  • Teamwork and cooperation with other departments.
  • Achieve established revenue and profit goals.
  • High level of energy, working overtime as needed to support the customer and staff.
  • Earn confidence of Storr sales force.
  • Establish target accounts and develop plan to secure business.
  • Achieve annual sales goal as established with the VP of Sales.
  • Personality: Self motivated, resourceful, quick study, relationship driven, multi-taker, strong work ethic, high energy, positive, assertive, detail oriented, strategic, team player, persistent, resilient.
  • Knowledge: Prospecting, probing, influencing, closing. Comfortable with technology, at ease with C-level executives, consultative selling, creating and delivering presentations, familiar with contracts and proposals. Knowledge of contract furniture industry and related products, applications, and design concepts preferred.
  • Motivations: Long term career growth, recognition, money, affiliation, achievement, freedom, security.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years B2B sales/business experience, preferably within a related industry
  • 25-50% local travel
  • BSBA degree from an accredited University preferred.
  • Proven organizational and follow-through skills required.
  • Proven sales and target marketing skills required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
