WJXT/WCWJ is looking for a dynamic Creative Services Director to take our station to new levels of viewership and community engagement. If you have experience as a strategic leader and have the drive to elevate and execute a powerful and compelling brand across all platforms, then you may be the one.
The WJXT/WCWJ Creative Services Director is responsible for all creative efforts while aligning creative execution with brand strategy for all platforms. The goal is to blend both traditional and modern marketing approaches for audience development using all available tools and platforms. Very simply, the Creative Services Director, is accountable for developing and executing strategic and tactical plans in collaboration with the station General Manager, News Department, Sales Team, Promotions Team, and Local Programming - from the conceptual phase through actual implementation. We are looking for a Creative Services Director to develop, mentor, and inspire their team while fostering a fun, energetic, and fulfilling work environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
โ€ข Develop and execute promotional campaigns to increase viewership and drive ratings.
โ€ข Handle daily promotion and marketing duties related to promoting all our newscasts, digital platforms, local programming, ABC programming and syndicated programming.
โ€ข Oversee, manage, and collaborate with our marketing, promotions, graphics, special events and new media staff to create compelling on-air and digital promotions.
โ€ข Coordinate with the sales and research departments to make sure our promos are meeting the brand promise deemed necessary for all marketing/promotion.
โ€ข Promote the entire WJXT News brand across all platforms, including on TV and all social platforms including YouTube, Instagram, OTT, and any other upcoming platforms.
โ€ข Manage budgets and timelines for promotional campaigns.
โ€ข Oversee logs for WJXT. Filling the logs with promos that are produced by your department to air on TV, and make sure the spots are meeting the marketing goals set by your team.
โ€ข Manage our music library service, and our "Storyblocks" service for b-roll and audio needs.
โ€ข Study and participate in research projects that occur annually.
โ€ข Attend weekly Department Head meetings and outline your goals and objectives at each meeting.
โ€ข You will report directly to the General Manager.
REQUIREMENTS:
โ€ข Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communication, or related field.
โ€ข 2+ years of experience managing staff preferred.
โ€ข Strong project management skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams.
โ€ข Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be capable of meeting very tight deadlines daily.
โ€ข Ability to analyze market research and trends to build plans that lay out goals and objectives for achieving success.
โ€ข Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
