Job description

Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students as a Special Education Teacher within a supportive and inclusive school environment. This full-time, onsite contract opportunity focuses on self-contained classroom settings, primarily serving K-1st grade, while also supporting broader K-12 needs as they arise.

Your expertise will foster a nurturing learning space where every child’s abilities are recognized and celebrated. Collaborating closely with school staff and families, you’ll help shape individualized educational plans and provide the foundational support students need for lifelong success.

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid Special Education teaching certification
  • Experience teaching in self-contained classrooms, especially with K-1st grade preferred
  • Strong understanding of individualized education programs (IEPs) and relevant documentation
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • Enthusiastic about adapting curriculum and instructional strategies to diverse learning needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement targeted lesson plans to meet students’ unique educational goals
  • Modify curriculum and classroom activities to foster inclusivity and growth
