Job description

Responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and executing high-quality visual and multimedia marketing materials to support Cryo-Cell's brand promotion, lead generation, and market penetration for cord blood, cord tissue, and related services to prospects (expectant parents), OB/GYN practices, and current clients. This role focuses on hands-on graphic design, video concepts, digital/social visuals, and creative production in alignment with brand guidelines, while collaborating with the Sr. Marketing Specialist (for content/copy direction), external/internal vendors (as needed), and cross-functional teams. Responsibilities include maintaining brand consistency across all touchpoints, optimizing creatives based on performance data, and contributing to innovative campaigns that increase market share, revenue, unit volume, and engagement with grandparents, relatives, consumer-focused organizations, print, and online media. Supports cross-training initiatives by gaining familiarity with all marketing department duties to ensure team flexibility, continuity during absences, and efficient collaboration in a small department. Assists with special projects, events, and subsidiaries as required.

II. PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The employee will spend at least 70% of their time performing job duties that include but are not limited to:

  1. Fully executes original design projects based on existing brand guidelines for a variety of audiences and stakeholders; exercises design decision-making to maintain high-quality, on-brand creative output.
  2. Creates effective visuals and designs (social graphics, reels, stories, ads, brochures, flyers, banners, mockups, collateral) using design principles and typography; prepares social media assets and handles scheduling/posting in collaboration with the Sr. Marketing Specialist.
  3. Collaborates with the Sr. Marketing Specialist on press proof approvals and final creative sign-off for printed materials; reviews proofs for design accuracy, color fidelity, layout integrity, and brand alignment before production release.
  4. Conceptualizes, designs, and produces a wide range of marketing materials across digital, social, print, and multimedia channels, ensuring alignment with strategic marketing initiatives and measurable objectives.
  5. Develops video concepts and storyboards in collaboration with Sr. Marketing Specialist; Creates/edits short-form video elements (e.g., social ads, promotional clips, YouTube shorts); creates/edits basic video content or refines outputs using appropriate tools.
  6. Participates in brainstorming and ideation sessions, contributing collaboratively alongside the Sr. Marketing Specialist, field reps, Marketing Advisory Group, stakeholders, and project teams to apply best practices and innovative ideas to creative work.
  7. Communicates ideas, rationale, and specifics of design/visual solutions to team members, stakeholders, and leadership.
  8. Develops and maintains visual/textual content for company websites (e.g., cryo-cell.com, subsidiaries), blogs, landing pages, and digital ads using Content Management Systems (CMS); coordinates any advanced visuals as needed.
  9. Interested in AI-assisted creative workflows; willing to incorporate AI tools for generating or enhancing visuals, images, or short video elements when appropriate, with basic refinement to align with brand guidelines and regulatory standards (as initiatives develop).
  10. Stays current on design trends, emerging platforms, advertising best practices, cultural shifts, and AI creative tools to keep campaigns fresh and relevant.
  11. Supports special projects, events, seasonal initiatives, conferences, and trade shows with tailored creative solutions (e.g., display graphics, video concepts, collateral).
  12. Ensures brand consistency, legal compliance, and alignment with campaign goals in all creative output.
  13. Collaborates with cross-functional teams and external vendors/designers for input, refinement, and delivery of creative assets.
  14. Manages multiple creative projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining brand consistency across all touchpoints.
  15. Participates in cross-training documentation and activities to learn and perform duties across the marketing team as needed to maintain operational continuity, support team coverage, and promote knowledge sharing.
  16. Other projects identified by management.
  17. Adheres to established standard operating procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements of the position.
  18. Completes position responsibilities by providing quality creative output within stated deadlines.
  19. Produces a specified amount of work in defined timeframe with great attention to detail and accuracy of information.

Position is Hybrid - corporate office Oldsmar FL/ partial work from home. Will also consider remote/telecommuting candidates from Knoxville, TN area available for in person collaboration with Senior Marketing Specialist

Education

  • Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Marketing, Fine Arts, or related field – Highly Desired.

Experience

  • 1-3 years of hands-on graphic design, visual content creation, and/or creative marketing experience in a professional, corporate, agency, or healthcare environment (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Experience with digital advertising creatives, social media visuals, and multimedia production.
  • Experience working independently as well as within cross-functional teams in a collaborative, professional environment.

Licenses/Credentials/Certifications

  • Driver's License.

Specialized Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Firefly, Premiere Pro/After Effects), Canva, and video editing software.
  • Strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, layout, and branding.
  • Experience with digital advertising creatives, social media visuals, and multimedia production.
  • Ability to conceptualize and execute visuals that align with brand guidelines and audience needs.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and complete simultaneous projects with minimal supervision.
  • Capacity to think creatively while adhering to strategic direction and deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) to present design rationale and collaborate effectively.
  • Demonstrate resourcefulness, initiative and commitment to continuous learning by independently researching and steadily building proficiency in new skills, programs, tools, and processes (using resources such as online tutorials, documentation, AI tools, and other available materials) while approaches to improve efficiency, results and department processes.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, including active participation with colleagues, sales, and leadership, openness to feedback and coaching, and commitment to shared responsibilities and deadlines and team success in a small department.
  • Flexibility and willingness to cross-train on other marketing department functions and assist colleagues as required to ensure smooth operations and team support in a small department.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint).
  • Customer service-minded, with the ability to build relationships internally and externally.
