The ESG Manager is responsible for coordinating implementing and ensuring the continuous improvement of TAIT's global sustainability and Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) program. This role drives sustainability strategy, oversees ESG reporting and compliance, and partners with leaders across the business to embed sustainable practices into operations and decision-making.

Working closely with the Principal, Sustainability & ESG and senior stakeholders across the global TAIT portfolio, the Sustainability & ESG Manager will lead cross-functional initiatives, ensure compliance with evolving sustainability regulations, and deliver robust environmental performance reporting. The role will champion best practices in sustainability, helping to reduce emissions, minimize waste, improve environmental performance, and contribute directly to our purpose: Creating Moments that Move People.

Responsibilities 

  • Lead the collection, validation, and reporting of global greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions data across Scopes 1, 2 and 3, delivering TAIT's annual carbon footprint.
  • Own and continuously improve carbon accounting methodologies, reporting processes, and data governance to ensure accuracy, consistency, and audit readiness.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with business leaders and regional stakeholders, providing guidance, training, and support to improve sustainability data quality and engagement.
  • Lead the preparation and submission of sustainability disclosures, ESG reports, Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting (SECR), and support external assurance activities.
  • Develop dashboards, executive presentations, and performance reports that communicate sustainability progress and inform strategic decision-making.
  • Partner with business functions to identify opportunities to reduce environmental impact, improve resource efficiency, and achieve sustainability targets.
  • Monitor emerging sustainability legislation, reporting frameworks, industry trends, and best practices to ensure TAIT remains at the forefront of ESG performance and compliance.
  • Support the development and implementation of sustainability strategies, roadmaps, and annual objectives aligned with corporate priorities.
  • Provide sustainability expertise during customer bids, proposals, and client engagements, ensuring sustainability commitments are accurately represented.
  • Lead or sponsor Green Affinity Network initiatives that increase employee engagement and embed sustainability throughout the organization.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Communications to develop sustainability content including case studies, presentations, website content, award submissions, and social media communications.
  • Support regulatory reporting requirements including CBAM, ESOS, CB261, and other emerging ESG disclosure obligations.
  • Manage sustainability improvement projects from planning through implementation, ensuring delivery against agreed objectives, timelines, and budgets where applicable.
  • Identify opportunities for operational improvements and recommend initiatives that enhance environmental performance while supporting business objectives.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to on-site sustainability team members and cross-functional project teams as appropriate.
  • Undertake additional sustainability and ESG initiatives as required.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in corporate sustainability, ESG, environmental management, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience leading sustainability programs and cross-functional projects.
  • Strong knowledge of greenhouse gas accounting, sustainability reporting standards, and ESG frameworks.
  • Proven experience delivering corporate sustainability reporting and managing complex environmental datasets.
  • Experience influencing stakeholders across multiple business functions and geographic regions.
  • Proficiency in Power BI, Excel, ERP systems, and data analysis tools.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
