Key Responsibilities

  • Translate complex environmental challenges into bold, growth-oriented opportunities that resonate with clients and communities alike.
  • Support the creation/refinement of brownfield redevelopment strategies, including assessment/investigation and remedial strategies for various types of sites and contaminants.
  • Assist with state and federal brownfield grant writing and grant application preparation and implementation.
  • Provide insight into emerging environmental regulations and industry trends to guide long-term planning, innovation, and competitive positioning.
  • Lead cross-functional project teams including engineers, technicians, scientists, and non-technical staff to ensure alignment with project objectives and risk management strategies.
  • Oversee end-to-end management of multiple large-scale programs (ranging from $5M to $30M in annual contract revenue value), ensuring all deliverables are met within scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives to drive program efficiency, cost reduction, and performance enhancement.
  • Foster strong relationships with government clients, contractors, and regulators acting as the primary point of contact for program status and escalation.
  • Monitor compliance with federal regulations, ensuring adherence to agency standards.
  • Prepare detailed reports and present program metrics and vision to senior leadership, driving decision-making processes.
  • Identify business growth opportunities and collaborate with business development teams to secure future contracts and renewals.

Education, Experience and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering or a related field (required); MBA or Master’s in Environmental Science (preferred).
  • Prior experience with the Ohio Voluntary Action Program, and USEPA and State of Ohio brownfield grants.
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER Training (preferred).
  • 10+ years of managing client accounts and business development efforts.
  • Minimum 20 years’ relevant experience in consulting, industry or government agencies.
  • In-depth understanding of government contracting procedures, federal acquisition regulations (FAR), and experience with IDIQ contracts (Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity) (required).
  • Must receive a satisfactory pre-hire drug screen and background check.
  • Comfortability working outdoors and traveling up to 25% of the time interstate.
  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements.
