Job description

About Monster Energy:

Forget about blending in. That's not our style. We're the risk takers, the trailblazers, the gamechangers. We're not perfect and we don't pretend to be. We're raw, unfiltered, and a bit unconventional. Our drive is just like our athletes, unrivaled. The power is in your hands to define what success looks like and where you want to take your career. It's not just about what we do, but about who we become on along the way. We are much more than a brand here. We are a way of life, a mindset. Join us.

A Day in the Life:

We're looking for a Creative Director for the Amercias who leads with both vision and craft for the M-Claw portfolio. Someone who can set a high creative bar, build a strong team culture and take personal ownership of how our brand shows up across every touchpoint. This is a hands-on leadership role that blends big-picture brand thinking with direct oversight of a cross-functional design team.

The Impact You'll Make:
  • Own the end-to-end creative output across retail execution, events/field, media, and programs, setting the standard for quality, consistency and brand integrity across every deliverable that leaves the team.
  • Define how the M Claw brands come to life in these markets while maintaining cohesion with the global standards. Global guidelines are provided; this role owns their regional expression and application.
  • Directly manage and mentor a team of Art Directors (Retail Execution, Events/Field, Media) and their respective design teams, including Sr. Designers and Production Artists.
  • Review and approve all print and static creative work before it goes to market, holding the team to a high creative and production quality bar.
  • Champion a culture of curiosity, raising the collective design ability of the team through feedback, clear creative briefs and ongoing creative development.
  • Directly manage and mentor a team of Art Directors (Retail Execution, Events/Field, Media) and their respective design teams, including Sr. Designers and Production Artists.
  • Serve as a consultant to video and motion production teams.
  • Ensure the visual brand ecosystem translates coherently into motion and video contexts by reviewing animated concepts and treatments for alignment across visual identity, color, typography, tone, and look-and-feel.
  • Provide directional feedback at key creative milestones (brief, concept, pre-production), not production ownership or final delivery accountability.
Who You Are:
  • 8+ years of design experience, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role managing multi-level teams.
  • Deep expertise in brand identity systems and the ability to build, apply and evolve a brand ecosystem across diverse print and static channels.
  • Strong background in print production, retail/experiential environments and large-format design.
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire teams across multiple workstreams simultaneously, with clear communication and creative vision.
  • Collaborative cross-functional approach.  Creative problem solver that comes to the table with ideas and solutions in an environment with many changes and roadblocks.
  • Expert in Adobe Creative Suite; experience with print production workflows and file specs across a range of media formats.
  • Strong bias for action and ability to prioritize.
  • Solid understanding of lifestyle brands. Passion for action sports, motorsports and cultural trends is a plus.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Ability to travel 10%+ of the time.
