Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized eCommerce Operations and Order Processing Specialist to support our growing online operations team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working behind the scenes to keep orders moving efficiently, maintain accurate records, and communicate effectively with vendors and customers.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, dependable, and comfortable managing multiple operational tasks in a fast-paced eCommerce environment.

Key Responsibilities

Dropship & Order Processing

  • Process and manage dropship orders across multiple vendors
  • Enter and update order information and tracking details accurately
  • Maintain internal tracking sheets and order records
  • Work directly with vendors to resolve shipment, inventory, and fulfillment issues
  • Process and manage invoice payments related to vendor orders and operations

Fraud Prevention & Finance Orders

  • Review flagged and potentially fraudulent orders
  • Communicate with customers to verify and clear fraud alerts
  • Process finance orders and coordinate with financing companies as needed

Inventory & SKU Management

  • Maintain accurate inventory records and inventory tracking systems
  • Manage and organize SKU information and product records
  • Assist with inventory ordering with vendos through Purchase Orders
  • Ensure product and inventory data remain accurate across systems

Shipping & Returns Processing

  • Receive and inspect returned merchandise
  • Determine product condition and classify returned items as new, used, or needing to be refurbished
  • Process returned inventory within internal systems
  • Prepare and ship refurbished merchandise to customers
  • Assist with shipping and receiving activities within the office

Systems & Operational Support

  • Support day-to-day operational workflows and process improvements
  • Maintain accurate operational records and documentation
  • Work across multiple eCommerce and operational platforms to ensure order accuracy and efficiency

  • Google Sheets

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience with data entry, inventory management, and order processing
  • Experience with shipping, receiving, and returns processing
  • Familiarity with SKU management and inventory tracking
  • Strong working knowledge of Google Sheets
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in eCommerce operations is strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with Shopify, ShipStation, or Fishbowl is a plus
  • Some familiarity and interest in the crafting DIY space is a plus!
