Job description

Our client, an iconic American heritage brand in the apparel and lifestyle space, is seeking a Creative Operations Manager to join their marketing team. This role sits at the intersection of brand strategy and creative execution, serving as the operational hub for an internal creative function. The Creative Operations Manager will be responsible for building and managing the workflows that connect internal teams, agency partners, and freelance resources across seasonal campaign development, asset production, and go-to-market execution. This role reports to the Director of Global Brand Marketing and is based in New York City.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead project management across the marketing and creative teams, with a strong focus on DTC, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and deadlines are clearly defined and consistently met.
  • Build, implement, and maintain workflows, communication protocols, and project tracking systems that bring structure to a lean, fast-moving environment.
  • Embed within the content creation process to ensure seasonal strategy translates into compelling, on-brand creative output.
  • Oversee seasonal campaign development end-to-end, from strategy and shot list development through post-production, representing the brand on set to ensure alignment with creative direction.
  • Provide production support for brand and social shoots, including coordinating photographers, locations, contracts, and invoicing.
  • Manage creative agency and freelance relationships, including briefing, creative direction, contracting, and performance accountability.
  • Partner cross-functionally with internal social and creative teams, external agency partners, and freelancers to maintain brand consistency and executional quality.
  • Support brand events, activations, and special projects as needed.

Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in creative operations and project management, with direct ownership of DTC marketing planning and execution.
  • Background in apparel, accessories, or beauty/fragrance; familiarity with heritage or Western lifestyle brands is a strong plus.
  • Experience in a small company or entrepreneurial environment is essential, with demonstrated comfort building processes from the ground up with limited support infrastructure.
  • Proven track record managing multiple workstreams across internal teams and external partners simultaneously.
  • Experience managing creative agency and freelance relationships end-to-end.
  • Demonstrated tenure and upward growth within organizations; candidates with a track record of promotion are preferred.
  • Genuine passion for brand, craftsmanship, and heritage-driven categories.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
