What is a creative operations manager?

Creative Operations Managers are professionals responsible for streamlining and optimizing the processes, workflows, and resources within creative teams or agencies. Their main goal is to enhance productivity, ensure timely project delivery, and facilitate effective communication among team members, clients, and stakeholders. They often oversee project management, budgeting, resourcing, and the implementation of best practices, allowing creative teams to focus on producing high-quality work. Creative Operations Managers play a key role in bridging the gap between creativity and operational efficiency.

How does a creative operations manager typically collaborate with creative and non-creative teams to streamline project workflows?

A Creative Operations Manager acts as a bridge between creative teams (like designers, writers, and producers) and non-creative departments (such as marketing, project management, and finance). They facilitate clear communication, set up efficient processes, and ensure everyone is aligned on timelines, resources, and deliverables. By implementing project management tools and standardizing workflows, they help teams avoid bottlenecks and achieve project goals more effectively. Regular status meetings, feedback loops, and performance metrics are common tools they use to keep all stakeholders informed and engaged.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a creative operations manager, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Creative Operations Manager, you need strong project management skills, a solid understanding of creative processes, and often a degree in marketing, design, or a related field. Familiarity with project management tools like Asana or Trello, digital asset management systems, and workflow automation platforms is typically required. Excellent communication, problem-solving abilities, and leadership are crucial soft skills to effectively coordinate teams and manage multiple projects. These skills ensure efficient project delivery, foster team collaboration, and drive the overall success of creative initiatives.

Job description

  • Job Category Marketing Manager
  • Employee Type Full-Time Exempt
  • Required Degree 4 Year Degree
  • Manage Others No
Description

HR MGMT 10, LLC is an Employer of Record providing workforce support services to partnered brands operating in regulated industries. The Muha Meds Marketing Manager is responsible for the day-to-day execution of Muha Meds' content and social presence across all channels โ€” Instagram, TikTok, X, in-app posting, push notifications, and additional distribution methods

This role owns the content calendar end to end: planning what goes out, coordinating the people and assets required to produce it, and making sure every post goes live on time and on brand. The Muha Meds Marketing Manager self-produces content where speed matters, partners with the AI team on AI-generated assets, submits and manages graphic design requests, plans and schedules shoots alongside the Creative Operations Lead and videography team, and works with content creators and influencers to extend brand reach.

The role also supports engagement on the Muha Members platform through in-app point challenges and content-driven mechanics designed to keep members active.

This is a hands-on execution role for someone who is equal parts organized planner and content creator.

Core Responsibilities
  • Own the day-to-day posting cadence across Instagram, TikTok, X, in-app feed, push notifications, and additional distribution methods
  • Maintain a unified content calendar spanning all channels, with clear visibility into what is scheduled, in production, and pending approval
  • Ensure every scheduled post goes live accurately, on time, and with correct copy, tags, and links
  • Tailor content format, tone, and timing to the strengths of each individual platform
  • Monitor comments, DMs, and community activity; elevate issues and surface trends to leadership
  • Ensure all content meets brand standards and applicable platform and state advertising requirements for regulated products
Content Production & Creative Coordination
  • Self-produce content - photo, short-form video, and copy - to support fast-turn posting needs
  • Partner with the AI team to develop, refine, and deploy AI-generated content and creative concepts
  • Write, submit, and track graphic design requests, providing clear briefs, references, and deadlines
  • Plan and schedule shoots in coordination with the Creative Operations Lead and videography team, including concepts, shot lists, timelines, and deliverable expectations - Maintain an organized asset library so approved content is easy to find, reuse, and repurpose across channels
  • Keep production pipelines moving so the calendar is never blocked by missing assets
Creator & Influencer Partnerships
  • Coordinate with the influencer team and ensure they are aligned on campaign strategy for outreach
  • Source, vet, and build relationships with content creators and influencers aligned with the Muha Meds brand
  • Coordinate creator collaborations end to end, including briefs, deliverables, timelines, product seeding, and usage rights
  • Track creator posts and deliverables against agreed commitments, and maintain organized records of partnerships and performance
  • Repurpose approved creator content across social channels and in-app placements - Ensure creator content meets brand standards and applicable platform and state advertising requirements for regulated products
  • Identify high-performing members and organic fans as candidates for ongoing creator relationships
  • Plan, launch, and manage point challenges within the Muha Members app - Design challenge mechanics that drive verification scans, content posting, social reposting, and repeat app visits
  • Coordinate in-app announcements, product drops, apparel launches, and brand updates - Partner with the platform team to ensure challenges, rewards, and push notifications are live, accurate, and error-free
  • Identify and act on opportunities to improve user engagement, session frequency, and retention
Planning, Reporting & Optimization
  • Maintain forward-looking calendars tied to product drops, events, campaigns, and cultural moments
  • Track and report on channel performance, including reach, engagement rate, follower growth, push open rates, and in-app participation
  • Analyze which content formats and posting patterns perform best, and adjust the calendar accordingly
  • Deliver regular performance recaps with clear recommendations to leadership
What Success Looks Like (First 12 Months)
  • A consistent, reliable posting cadence is maintained across every channel with no missed drops
  • Content production keeps pace with the calendar, with a healthy pipeline of ready-to-post assets
  • Engagement rates and follower growth improve measurably across social channels - In-app point challenges drive a sustained increase in active users and repeat engagement
  • Shoots, design requests, and AI content workflows run on predictable, well-communicated timelines
  • Leadership has clear, regular visibility into what is planned and how it is performing

Base Salary: $120,000 annually

Placement is based on experience, demonstrated content production capability, and breadth of channel ownership.

Eligible employees may also receive:
  • Performance-based incentives tied to engagement and platform growth - Access to company-sponsored benefits in accordance with HR MGMT 10, LLC plans and eligibility requirements
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
  • This role is required on-site a minimum of four (4) days per week. Alternate on-site days may be arranged when shoot or production schedules require it, subject to mutual agreement with leadership in advance.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and use hands for extended periods
  • Ability to work in office, retail, studio, and event environments as needed - Ability to lift and carry light production equipment as needed
  • Occasional evening or weekend work in connection with shoots, events, and product launches
