JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a resourceful, hands-on, and highly organized Video Producer to coordinate and execute small- and medium-scale audiovisual productions from the initial brief through final delivery.

This role is designed for someone who combines strong production management capabilities with practical field experience. Unlike a traditional office-based producer, the Video Producer must be comfortable operating a camera directly when the project requires it, serving as an agile and self-sufficient production partner for interviews, social media content, branded capsules, event coverage, product shoots, and other streamlined audiovisual formats.

Reporting to the Audiovisual General Producer & AI Leader / Head of Production & AI Leader, this person will support the daily production operation and ensure that every project—regardless of scale or budget— is delivered with strong technical, visual, and narrative standards.

The ideal candidate understands the full production process, can translate creative briefs into clear and executable shooting plans, and knows how to make smart decisions in the field while managing limited resources, tight timelines, and small crews.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate and execute small- and medium-scale audiovisual productions from the initial brief through final delivery.

  • Translate creative concepts and client requirements into clear production plans, timelines, technical needs, and shooting schedules.

  • Ensure that all audiovisual pieces meet the agency’s technical, visual, narrative, and brand-quality standards.

  • Operate a camera directly for smaller productions, including interviews, social media content, branded capsules, event coverage, product shoots, and internal content.

  • Define framing, basic camera movement, lighting requirements, and visual criteria during streamlined shoots.

  • Direct talent, interviewees, and small technical crews during production.

  • Manage preproduction activities, including schedules, call sheets, locations, equipment, talent coordination, permits, and production logistics.

  • Identify the appropriate equipment, locations, technical resources, and production partners for each project’s level of complexity.

  • Coordinate freelancers, camera operators, technical talent, vendors, and other production partners when additional support is required.

  • Monitor production timelines and ensure that filming and delivery milestones are completed as planned.

  • Manage available resources efficiently while maintaining quality and protecting project profitability.

  • Anticipate and resolve production challenges in the field with sound judgment, adaptability, and professionalism.

  • Organize, label, and deliver recorded materials properly to support an efficient postproduction process.

  • Create simple edits, preliminary cuts, or basic audiovisual pieces when the project requires it and the production timeline allows.

  • Collaborate closely with Creative, Art, Accounts, Strategy, Project Management, and Postproduction teams to align creative expectations with production realities.

  • Maintain clear communication with internal teams regarding progress, risks, changes, and production requirements.

  • Identify when a project exceeds the defined level of complexity and escalate it promptly to the Audiovisual General Producer or Head of Production.

  • Ensure that production activities comply with approved budgets, schedules, technical requirements, and client commitments.

  • Build and maintain professional relationships with production vendors, technical specialists, locations, and freelance talent.

  • Contribute to a collaborative, solutions-oriented, and accountable production culture.

  • Represent and live Contáctica’s values in every interaction with clients, teams, talent, vendors, and production partners.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience as a Video Producer, Field Producer, Content Producer, Audiovisual Producer, or in a comparable production role.

  • Hands-on experience coordinating small- and medium-scale audiovisual productions from preproduction through final delivery.

  • Demonstrated ability to operate professional or prosumer cameras independently.

  • Strong understanding of framing, camera movement, basic lighting, sound capture, and audiovisual storytelling.

  • Experience producing interviews, social media content, branded videos, event coverage, product content, corporate pieces, or similar formats.

  • Ability to direct talent, interviewees, and small production crews in the field.

  • Strong organizational and planning skills, including experience preparing production schedules, call sheets, equipment lists, and logistical plans.

  • Ability to translate creative briefs into practical and executable production plans.

  • Experience coordinating freelancers, technical specialists, production vendors, and external partners.

  • Strong ability to manage timelines, priorities, and multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

  • Resourceful and adaptable approach to resolving production challenges with limited time, equipment, or personnel.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to technical and narrative quality.

  • Basic video editing capabilities are highly valued but not required.

  • Familiarity with video editing platforms such as Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools is a plus.

  • Understanding of file management, media organization, production workflows, and postproduction handoffs.

  • Ability to manage production resources and budgets responsibly.

  • Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Professional and service-oriented approach when working with clients, talent, internal teams, and suppliers.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Audiovisual Production, Film, Communications, Media, Advertising, or a related field is preferred.

  • Fluency in Spanish is required. Professional English communication skills are highly valued.
