As the Director, Creative & Brand Experience, you will set the creative vision for Williams and lead the in-house creative center of excellence that brings it to life-a multidisciplinary studio of photographers, videographers, designers, producers, events managers, and digital/social strategists responsible for telling the most compelling version of the Williams story to audiences both inside and outside the company. As a leader in this role, you will seamlessly zoom out to define a cohesive brand direction and zoom in to provide precise, hands-on feedback, demonstrating equal comfort with content strategy and creative craft. Reporting to the Vice President of Corporate Affairs, you will serve as the steward of the refreshed Williams brand and drive advertising, sponsorships, events, and storytelling efforts that advance the company's commercial success, reputation, and ability to attract top talent.

Responsibilities/Expectations:
  • Defines and evolves the Williams brand - visual identity, voice, and storytelling - and lead a refreshed brand and positioning from strategy through deployment across every touchpoint
  • Sets the creative direction for Williams advertising campaigns and brand storytelling, championing a high bar from concept through production and protecting brand integrity in final deliverables
  • Owns brand and corporate sponsorship strategy and activation across partners and events, turning each into a distinctive, on-brand experience that builds reputation and community connection
  • Builds, scales, and governs the brand system - standards, templates, and creative frameworks that keep Williams consistent and unmistakably itself across teams, audiences, and channels
  • Leads, mentors, and grows the studio's photographers, videographers, designers, producers, events managers, and digital/social strategists, fostering a culture of craft, feedback, and growth
  • Operates with velocity and rigor, delivering high-quality creative on time and on budget while balancing in-house capabilities with the right external support
  • Partners with Strategic Communications, Corporate Communications, and Community Impact to keep the Williams narrative unified, clear, and well-governed across functions and audiences
  • Manages agency, production studio, and vendor relationships, aligning external partners to creative direction and quality standards
  • Defines and tracks KPIs that tie creative output to measurable brand, business, and reputational impact
  • Stays ahead of design, storytelling, and production trends - including emerging creative technologies - to keep Williams' work modern and competitive
  • Other duties as assigned

Education/Years of Experience:
  • Required: Bachelor's degree in Design, Marketing, Communications, Fine Arts, or a related field and minimum 12 years of progressive creative leadership experience, including building or scaling an in-house studio, brand team, or agency, with at least 5 years managing creatives

Other Requirements:
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and PC skills
  • A portfolio demonstrating mastery of both content strategy and creative direction across multiple mediums - photography, video, design, social, and experiential
  • Demonstrated track record leading a brand refresh, repositioning, and brand governance in a complex organization
  • Strong people leadership, with proven experience developing talent and building healthy, high-output teams
  • Executive presence and the ability to present and defend creative decisions to senior leaders with clarity and confidence
  • Business acumen to align creative ambition with company objectives and demonstrate measurable impact
  • Preferred: Experience managing brand and corporate sponsorships, partnerships, or experiential events and activations
  • Preferred: Familiarity with the energy industry or another highly regulated, capital-intensive sector (preferred, not required)
  • Preferred: Experience with broadcast/commercial production and high-impact advertising campaigns
  • Preferred: Experience supporting employer-brand and talent-attraction creative
