Job description

Creative Director

Location: Las Vegas, NV strongly preferred. Remote considered for exceptional candidates willing to travel regularly for projects, team collaboration, and events.

Reports to: VPof Sales & Strategy and CEO

Compensation: $100K-$150K, depending on experience

Neato is an ecommerce accelerator. We partner with established CPG brands to own and operate their Amazon business - purchasing inventory, taking full operational control, and solving the problems brands can't fix on their own: reseller chaos, margin erosion, fragmented partners, Amazon complexity.

Our creative team is how our brand partners show up. Amazon listings, digital advertising, web, photography, video - we produce elevated consumer brand creative at ecommerce pace without sacrificing quality.

The role

We're looking for a creative director who wants to build, not inherit.

You'll lead a team of 6-8 across graphic design, digital design, web, photography, and video. About 60% of your work will be brand partner creative; 40% will be Neato's own marketing. You'll move between strategic client conversations and operational execution - translating brand goals into creative direction, then making sure the work ships on time and on point.

This is not an art-direction-from-a-distance role. You'll be hands-on: building systems, running projects, presenting to clients, and pushing the team to produce work that performs.

What you'll own

  • Lead and develop the creative team across design, web, photo, and video
  • Own creative strategy and execution for brand partners - concept through delivery
  • Present work to clients, translate feedback, and bridge brand strategy and creative execution
  • Build and refine creative operations: workflows, project management, Figma component libraries, and design systems
  • Run multiple concurrent projects across different teams without losing quality or momentum
  • Push adoption of modern tools - AI-assisted design, agentic image generation - to scale output without scaling headcount
  • Collaborate with marketing leadership on Neato's brand presence across web, campaigns, and events
  • Set and maintain creative standards that balance premium quality with ecommerce velocity

What success looks like

  • Brand partners receive creative that elevates their presence and drives measurable performance
  • The team operates with clear systems, not inherited chaos
  • Creative output scales without proportional increases in time or resources
  • Neato's own marketing looks as good as the work we do for clients

What you bring

Required

  • 3+ years as a creative director or equivalent leadership role
  • Agency background - ideally at a branding or consumer-focused shop
  • Proven leadership across graphic design, digital design, web, photography, and commercial video (product and brand-focused, not film)
  • Strong client-facing skills - you can present, take feedback, and translate between business objectives and creative execution
  • Deep Figma proficiency: component libraries, design systems, and scalable workflows - not just design
  • Experience running multiple concurrent projects across different teams
  • Strong creative strategy foundation - you understand how brand positioning becomes visual identity and campaign work

Preferred

  • Genuine experience with or curiosity about AI tools for creative production
  • Familiarity with ecommerce or DTC creative and the pace it demands
  • Experience building creative ops infrastructure from scratch, not inheriting it
  • Comfort in a growing company where you shape the process rather than follow one

You'll thrive here if

You want to build, not maintain. You're equally comfortable in a client presentation and a project standup. You believe great creative and operational efficiency aren't mutually exclusive. You're energized by variety - different brands, different categories, different challenges every week.

Compensation

$100,000-$150,000 DOE Medical, dental, and vision Equity opportunity at director level Unlimited PTO Hybrid environment with flexible hours
