Located 15 minutes from Chapel Hill, our property is one of the original Relais & Chateaux destinations in North America since 1980, complete with an award-winning fine-dining restaurant, luxury 32-room inn, spa, boutique shops, a beer and pizza garden, events spaces, and one of the state’s last remaining independent bookstores.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Dovecote Style is a thoughtfully curated women’s boutique at Fearrington Village, offering a refined mix of clothing, accessories, and lifestyle pieces. Our aesthetic is effortless, modern, and timeless—focused on helping women feel confident, comfortable, and beautifully put together.

Position Summary

Schedule: Wednesday–Sunday (Full-Time)
Must be available to work weekends, especially Sundays


We are seeking a polished, engaging, and style-driven Retail Stylist & Sales Associate to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who loves fashion, enjoys building relationships with clients, and has a natural ability to create complete, personalized looks.

You will play a key role in delivering a warm, elevated shopping experience while driving sales through thoughtful styling and product knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional, personalized customer service

  • Style clients by creating complete looks with clothing and accessories

  • Build relationships with repeat customers and develop a loyal clientele

  • Drive sales through product knowledge, storytelling, and styling suggestions

  • Maintain a visually appealing and well-merchandised sales floor

  • Assist with receiving, stocking, and inventory management

  • Support in-store events and promotions

  • Uphold the Dovecote brand aesthetic and Fearrington standard of hospitality

Qualifications

  • Previous retail or fashion experience preferred

At least 2 years experience as a stylist with retail sales 

Strong customer service skills

- Self-motivated with the ability to build and maintain personal clientele

- Operate the register to facilitate transactions

- Read and collect data through our inventory technology

- Boutique maintenance
