Job description

) Prestige Gardens is now seeking a full-time Activity Director to join our team. The ideal candidates must be devoted and compassionate about their chosen careers. The Activity Director will have experience working with individuals with dementia, have a highly enthusiastic personality, and be able to develop creative activities for our residents.
Responsibilities of Activity Director:
  • Develops, maintains and coordinates a monthly program of events and programs
  • Establishes and maintains on-going contacts with community organizations, churches, colleges, universities, cultural organizations and other useful resources for program development.
  • Recruits, plans and manages volunteer opportunities for the community
  • Manages, trains and develops staff and volunteers
  • Makes marketing presentations for community outreach efforts
  • Works with marketing to assist in the planning of community/resident events
  • Coordinates community outings to special events, lectures, for an active resident lifestyle
  • One-to-one activities utilizing interpersonal needs to meet resident/client needs
  • Projects a positive image of the organization in dealing with residents/clients, co-workers and the public

Qualifications of Activity Director:
  • At least two years of related experience
  • College degree strongly preferred.
