Senior Director of Production & Broadcast
(GLS Executive Producer)

Purpose: The Senior Director of Production & Broadcast serves as the Global Leadership Summit Executive Producer (in the United States) and year-round production leader for the Global Leadership Network. This role owns the full technical production, broadcast, and delivery infrastructure for the Global Leadership Summit and all GLN U.S. events - ensuring that creative vision is executed with excellence across in-room, online, and Summit partner site environments, in close partnership with key production and broadcast partners.
Global Leadership Network (GLN) is a nonprofit organization located in South Barrington, Illinois. We exist to help churches build a leadership development culture - so more and more people come to know Jesus Christ. We do this by developing resources to help churches grow healthy leaders - because healthy leaders build healthy, thriving churches.
Our flagship event is The Global Leadership Summit is attended by 60,000+ leaders in 400 sites (primarily churches) throughout the United States. The Summit is translated into 40+ languages and held in 110+ countries reaching over 300,000 international leaders from September to April.
Job Status:

Reports to: SVP Content & Experiences

Salary: The annual salary range for this position is between $58,000 - $112,000 depending on experience and skill set.
Remote Work Schedule: This position is primarily remote, with required in-person attendance at the main office several times a year for staff development, training, GLS and other occasions. Given the event-driven nature of this role, schedule demands are concentrated around key production periods.
Primary Responsibilities:
  1. Global Leadership Summit (US) - Production & Execution Leadership
  • Oversees broadcast, control room, and technical production systems
  • Executes the Run of Show in alignment with Creative and Content
  • Partners closely with key vendors, including creative director, production vendors, venue personnel, and others
  • Collaborates with partners to recruit and lead production and broadcast teams
  • Aligns all teams around a unified execution plan
  • Leads real-time production and broadcast decision-making during the event
  • Ensures alignment across in-room, online, and Summit partner site experiences
  1. Multi-Environment Delivery (Online & Summit Partner Sites)
  • Oversees the production and broadcast of the online Summit experience
  • Leads the end-to-end delivery model for Summit partner sites, including content distribution, streaming and access systems, and technical standards
  • Provides leadership for support, troubleshooting, and execution during the Summit
  • Ensures a consistent, high-quality experience across all environments
  1. Summit Partner Site Ecosystem (Year-Round)
  • Leads onboarding of new Summit partner sites
  • Develops and delivers training for Technical Directors and Producers
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships and community with Summit partner site leaders
  • Owns and drives systems supporting the production and broadcast function
  • Ensures Summit partner sites are equipped and prepared to execute the Summit
  1. Production Leadership Across All GLN Events
  • Leads production planning and execution for other GLN events, such as pastors events and donor events
  • Determines the appropriate level of production for each experience
  • Contracts with additional production partners as needed
  • Ensures consistency in quality and execution across events
  1. GLN Leadership & Performance Management
  • Leads Production and Broadcast teams (on-staff and contracted) to drive productivity and professional growth, set clear expectations, provide feedback and coaching, address performance issues, manage hiring and termination decisions, and ensure effective utilization of 12-Week Year and StandOut tools (Check-Ins, Milestone Connects, Engagement Pulse, and Performance Pulse).
  • Actively participate in one-on-one meetings with manager, team meetings, all-staff meetings, and cross-functional meetings, as needed.
  • Complete other related duties as assigned.

Education, Experience, and Other Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in broadcast production, live events, or technical production leadership
  • Demonstrated senior-level technical expertise in broadcast production, streaming infrastructure, and multi-environment delivery systems
  • Proven experience recruiting, contracting, and leading diverse contractor teams and managing multiple vendor relationships simultaneously
  • Experience with multi-site or distributed broadcast delivery - Summit partner site networks, distributed streaming, or similar
  • Strategic budget management experience - ownership of production budgets, vendor contracts, and cost stewardship
  • Strong project management skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple event production cycles simultaneously
  • Experience working in or alongside ministry, church, or faith-based organizations preferred
  • A vital relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and an active participant of a local church that holds to a historic, orthodox understanding of biblical Christianity
