Position Summary
Manage a team that develops customer products, solutions and/or programs to meet customer needs and corporate objectives.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Deliver projects, solutions and objectives to meet goals. Lead, set priorities and assign work to direct reports for maximum efficiency and to meet goals. Obtain resources and foster positive relationships with internal and external clients. Ensure effective application of business processes and guide continuous improvements. Finalize goals and plans with direct reports.
  • Responsible for management of team developing and applying strategic leadership in the development of new products and services for customers. Responsible for leading the development of sound business cases that help meet product growth, profitability and customer service targets.
  • Provide expertise on all aspects of the business. Including target markets, product launches, advertising and promotion plans, customer management, pricing, channels, strategic planning, data analytics, operations, and/or budget management.
  • Direct the investigation and research of new technologies and other product concepts to evaluate whether they should be developed to meet strategic segment requirements.
  • Drive and champion business needs. Manage group to provide requirements and market information for business cases.
  • Responsible for hiring, developing, training, coaching, counseling and rewarding a group of professional employees.
  • Accountable for customer product and/or program goal attainment, tracking and reporting.
  • Provide leadership for cross team collaboration to achieve results.

Minimum Requirements
- College degree, preferably in business, marketing, engineering, sustainability, or a related field.
- Seven years of experience in product development, and/or product management.
- Three years' experience in the energy industry.
- Ability to prioritize multiple competing needs with finesse. Proven results.
Preferred Requirements
Management/supervisory experience is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate would have experience, and preferably leadership experience, in several of these areas:
  • Leading a team to deliver Demand Side Management, Distributed Energy Resources, and/or Electric Vehicle customer programs
  • Understanding of utility regulatory requirements and frameworks
  • Strong analytical acumen and familiarity with utility potential studies and cost-benefit analyses
  • Collaborative approach to creative problem solving of internal and external issues, including managing third-party relationship
  • Demonstrated experience developing products or programs in the energy industry
  • Background with Distributed Energy Resources
  • Understanding of traditional Demand Side Management Utility programs

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $130,000.00 to $160,000.00 per year
