  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant field such as graphic design, visual communication, advertising, marketing, communications, journalism, fine arts, or related creative discipline.
  • Advanced degrees (MA/MFA) or specialized certifications are a plus but not required—proven results and a standout portfolio carry more weight.
Professional Experience
  • 8–12+ years of progressive creative experience in advertising, PR, branding, or integrated communications agencies (or in‑house at high‑profile brands).
  • Minimum 5–7 years in senior creative leadership roles (e.g., Associate Creative Director, Group Creative Director, or equivalent), with direct responsibility for leading teams, campaigns, and client‑facing creative output.
  • Demonstrated track record of conceptualizing, directing, and executing award‑winning or high‑visibility work across earned media, digital/social, paid channels, experiential activations, and traditional PR deliverables.
Core Creative & Technical Skills
  • Exceptional visual storytelling and conceptual thinking — ability to turn complex brand challenges, crises, or reputation opportunities into bold, culturally resonant narratives.
  • Mastery of creative tools and workflows: Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects), Figma, motion graphics, and emerging production techniques.
  • Strong understanding of integrated content creation across all channels (social, digital, print, video, experiential) with a PR lens—ensuring creative aligns with earned media strategy, stakeholder messaging, and reputation outcomes.
Leadership & Strategic Abilities
  • Proven leadership: Experience building, mentoring, and inspiring creative teams while fostering collaboration across strategy, media relations, account, and client services.
  • Strategic mindset: Ability to think beyond aesthetics—aligning creative vision with business objectives, audience insights, cultural trends, and measurable impact (e.g., brand elevation, crisis mitigation, or audience engagement).
  • Business acumen: Comfortable navigating ambiguity, stakeholder management, budgets, timelines, and client presentations; understands how creative drives ROI in PR/communications.
Soft Skills & Personal Attributes
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills—confident pitching ideas, selling concepts to clients/executives, and providing clear, constructive feedback to teams.
  • Emotional intelligence & cultural literacy—ability to read rooms, adapt to diverse personalities/stakeholders, and create inclusive, resonant work in a fast‑evolving cultural landscape.
  • Curiosity, adaptability, and trend awareness—stays ahead of emerging technologies (AI‑assisted design, dynamic content), platforms, and creative shifts while maintaining a fearless, innovative edge.
  • A compelling, diverse portfolio showcasing strategic creative work that has delivered real results (e.g., reputation recovery campaigns, viral brand moments, award entries, or integrated PR‑driven initiatives).
  • Evidence of leadership impact: Examples of team development, successful pitches, or campaigns that elevated agency/client visibility.
