Job description

Executive Assistant

The Executive Assistant II will provide administrative support to 4 executives including: the SVP ESPN Creative Studio, the VP Animation, Graphics Innovation, Playout, Edit, the VP, Content Integration & Synergy Solutions, and the VP Visual Storytelling. This includes, but is not limited to, calendar management, preparing and tracking expense reports, making travel arrangements, and preparing meeting materials. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented individual capable of achieving results in a fast-paced environment and should possess an ability to maintain confidentiality and manage high-level relationships with sensitivity.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists 4 executives in providing a wide range of administrative support functions focused upon the needs of assigned executives.
  • Conducts a wide range of assignments derived from the duties and responsibilities of the executive(s) served; specific functions may include:
  • Coordinating and maintaining Outlook calendars.
  • Gathering materials for events such as meetings & presentations.
  • Administering travel arrangements and related travel and entertainment expense reports.
  • Books conference rooms for executives supported by the role.
  • Coordinating team events.
  • Coordinates the administration, logistics and flow of the work for the assigned executives.
  • Provides office management including space planning as needed, printer, mail distribution and calendar maintenance for specified conference rooms.
  • Maintains the highest standards of confidentiality and tact.
  • Interacts with a wide variety of ESPN, Disney, and external contacts on behalf of the executives assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of related executive administrative support in generally comparable functions.
  • Demonstrates the following: Executive and individual time management, conflict management, business acumen, planning and execution.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to pay close attention to detail while handling multiple, simultaneous requests.
  • Timely follow up.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with ability to quickly learn any ECS specific databases used by the executive(s) supported.
  • Has advanced oral and written communication skills; demonstrates a high sensitivity to the purposes and motivations of the persons desiring contact with the assigned executive(s); ability to work effectively with a diverse group.
  • Highly empathetic, self-starter who is tech savvy and solution oriented.
  • Builds relationships across ECS, ESPN, Disney and with external partners.

Required Education:

  • High School Diploma.

Preferred Education:

  • Associate or bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
