Job description

Position Summary

The Husky Athletic Fund at the UConn Foundationseeks an Athletics Development Student Worker - Digital Marketing & Creative for August 2026 through May 2027. The Student Worker will have primary responsibility for digital marketing campaigns and creative assets, as well as daily office functions and event and game day responsibilities.

Primary Responsibilities

Primary Role: Assist Athletics Development Stewardship and Annual Fund Operations department with digital marketing campaigns from start to finish.

  • Assist with creation and implementation of digital marketing solicitations, event invites, and additional campaigns as needed through email marketing.
  • Create digital assets such as graphics, banners, event invitations, and more through Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Evaluate digital marketing campaigns for effectiveness and suggest creative ideas for using the email platform for fundraising initiatives.
  • Assist in developing and executing creative content strategies for the Husky Athletic Fund's social media presence, with a primary focus on X (formerly Twitter), to enhance donor engagement and promote fundraising initiatives.

Secondary Role: General support for Athletic Development Operations

  • Assist with management of game day hospitality including set up, greeting donors, and breakdown. Includes fall and winter sports both on campus and off campus.
  • Assist with setup, execution, and completion of events.
  • General office support including ordering and gathering event supplies, shipping, and other projects that arise.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Key Competencies

  • Must be an undergraduate or graduate student in good standing with reliable transportation to off campus events.
  • Must be available to work nights and weekends.
  • Minimum 15 hours per week and may be up to 20 some weeks as needed.
  • Must have demonstrated interest in a career in sports and/or digital marketing.
  • Must be proficient in MS office applications & social media platforms.
  • Preferred prior experience in Adobe Creative Suite, graphic design platforms
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Values diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
