Job description

Memory Care PartnerThis Is Not Traditional Home Care

If your favorite part of supporting older adults is conversation, connection, creativity, and helping someone have a meaningful day, this may be the perfect role for you.

We're looking for someone who can turn an ordinary afternoon into a meaningful experience.

Full Bloom Memory Care® is seeking compassionate, dependable, and engaging Memory Care Partners to join our team.

This is a highly interactive, activity-based role supporting older adults living with dementia and memory loss. Rather than focusing primarily on physical care tasks, our Memory Care Partners help clients stay connected, active, purposeful, and engaged through meaningful experiences tailored to who they are.

We are looking for people who enjoy building relationships, creating moments of joy, and helping others thrive through conversation, movement, cognitive engagement, and companionship.

At Full Bloom, we believe dementia care should be person-centered, relationship-driven, and rooted in dignity. Our Memory Care Partners don't just provide care-they help create meaningful days.

Position Highlights

This is a hands-on, relationship-centered role focused on:

  • Senior center outings

  • Walking and light movement

  • Brain games and cognitive activities

  • Creative engagement and companionship

  • Working closely with our professional dementia care team

  • Supporting structured, calm, connected days

Think: cognitive interventions delivered in a warm, human way.

Who Thrives in This Role?

We welcome applicants from both traditional and non-traditional backgrounds who enjoy connecting with others and creating engaging experiences.

Many of our strongest Memory Care Partners come from backgrounds such as:

  • Memory care or caregiving

  • Social work or psychology

  • Behavioral health or mental health services

  • Autism support or behavioral intervention

  • Recreation, activities, or therapeutic programs

  • Early childhood education or daycare

  • Human services and community outreach

  • Youth leadership programs

  • Improv, theater, music, or creative arts

Applicants with backgrounds in education, behavioral health, recreation programs, community engagement, or youth development often thrive in this role.

If you are warm, quick-thinking, emotionally steady, creative, and genuinely enjoy helping others feel seen, valued, and connected, we'd love to meet you.

As a Memory Care Partner, You Will:
  • Build meaningful relationships with clients and families

  • Provide companionship and emotional support

  • Lead simple cognitive and brain-based activities

  • Encourage movement, walking, and healthy daily routines

  • Accompany clients on senior center and community outings

  • Assist with cueing and supportive care as needed

  • Communicate closely with Full Bloom's dementia care team to ensure continuity and success

Why Join Full Bloom Memory Care?

We believe Memory Care Partners deserve the same level of support and respect they provide to others.

When you join Full Bloom, you become part of a supportive, mission-driven team dedicated exclusively to helping individuals living with dementia flourish.

What We Offer
  • Top-tier pay for experienced Memory Care Partners: $25.00/hour+

  • Consistent full-time schedules with 8–12 hour shifts

  • Weekly pay

  • Thoughtful client matching based on personality, interests, and strengths

  • Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance

  • 401(k) with company match

  • Paid Time Off (PTO)

  • Paid hands-on training in memory care and behavioral techniques ($16.60/hour training rate)

  • Ongoing mentorship and professional development

  • Career advancement opportunities

  • Recognition programs celebrating our Memory Care Partners

A Person-Centered Approach That Honors You

We celebrate the individuality of both our clients and our Memory Care Partners.

Just as we tailor care to each client, we take time to understand your personality, strengths, interests, and passions so we can thoughtfully match you with clients where genuine connection can flourish.

Requirements
  • Preferred 6 months of dementia care, caregiving, education, behavioral health, recreation, or related experience (professional or family)

  • Reliable availability with a consistent weekly schedule (for example: Tuesday–Saturday or Sunday–Thursday)

  • Availability to work one recurring weekend day

  • Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and current insurance

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Ability to pass a background check and verify eligibility to work in the U.S.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

  • Eligibility to register with the IDPH Health Care Worker Registry

Bonus Points If You Have:
  • Experience in memory care, senior living, or private-duty care

  • Training in Teepa Snow's Positive Approach to Care® (PAC)

  • Experience leading activities, enrichment programs, or community engagement

  • A passion for dementia care and lifelong learning

  • A desire to grow with a company built on purpose, compassion, and excellence
