Job description

Allied is seeking an Assembly Technician at our Edmond Oklahoma Facility. He/she will work with customers to coordinate equipment service, with assistance from a team of mechanical, electrical and assembly personnel, to support our products. The work is "hands on", fast paced, challenging and enjoyable.


Job Duties and Requirements:

  • A thorough knowledge of mechanical and electrical assembly techniques and procedures.
  • Experience in small machine assembly, start-up, and testing, including bearings, bushings, motors, drive systems, and fasteners.
  • Electrical/mechanical knowledge and diagnostic skills are necessary, along with the ability to use and understand electrical test equipment, such as multimeters, current clamps and soldering equipment.
  • You are a problem-solver, self-starter, fast, goal oriented, highly organized, and team oriented. You are friendly and good with customers, and you have a track record of continuous improvement and quality performance.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical assembly drawings.
  • Troubleshoots, repairs and tests electronic components and equipment
  • Understanding of stepper motors, proximity sensors, AC & DC motors and motor drive controls, and familiarity with industrial controls, contactors and relays.
  • Field service experience is a plus.
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • A minimum of 2-5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Able to lift and/or move objects/components, 30 -50 lbs.
  • Some travel may be required.
