Job description

Schedule:  Full time, 36 hours (3-12 hour shifts) per week, D/E with weekend requirements. Work sites will include Canandaigua, Farmington, and Newark locations.

Main Function:  

  • Provides quality nursing patient care to Urgent Care patients under the supervision of the providers and Practice Management
  • RN must assess, plan, give and document nursing care
  • RN assists the provider with patients, including the preparation of examination rooms, preparation of the patient for the visit, such as taking vital signs and explaining procedures 
  • Under the general direction of the provider, RN will administer medications and injection as prescribed, assist with special procedures, including minor procedures
  • RN is responsible for completion of all results and patient call backs within the scope of practice, following up with patients and the providers as appropriate
  • Assist in development and implementation of clinical nursing policies and procedures, working with appropriate system personnel to assure clinical operations comply with all Joint Commission, NYS DOH requirements and other regulatory agencies as applicable.  

Qualifications (Licenses, Certifications):

  • Registered Nurse- New York license
  • Professionally mature, energetic and creative individual who demonstrates leadership qualities demanded in a rapidly changing health care environment.
  • Must maintain current BLS and ACLS certification.

Education:

  • Graduation from an approved school of nursing, required.

Experience:

  • 2-4 years of recent nursing experience required.
  • Minimum of 2 years family practice, urgent care, acute care, occupational medicine or outpatient care nursing experience.
  • Experience using an EMR preferred.

Position Pay Range: $35-46/hour

Starting Pay: Based on experience
