COMPANY OVERVIEW

StructureCast is a leading manufacturer of precast concrete products serving the construction industry. We are committed to safety, quality, and operational excellence. We are currently seeking an experienced and safety-minded Crane Operator to join our team at our precast concrete facility.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Crane Operator is responsible for safely operating rough terrain cranes and forklifts to move, lift, and position precast concrete products throughout the plant yard and production areas. This role requires a high level of skill, situational awareness, and strict adherence to safety protocols.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Operate rough terrain cranes to lift, move, and set precast concrete elements including panels, beams, columns, and other products.

Operate forklifts to transport materials, products, and equipment throughout the facility.

Perform daily pre-operation inspections on all equipment; document and report any defects or maintenance needs.

Communicate clearly with riggers, signal persons, and ground crew using hand signals and radio.

Assist in rigging and de-rigging of loads as needed.

Follow all company safety policies, plant rules, and regulatory requirements.

Participate in safety meetings, training, and toolbox talks.

Complete daily logs and equipment inspection records accurately.

QUALIFICATIONS

3 years of experience operating rough terrain cranes; precast concrete or heavy construction experience strongly preferred.

Forklift certification and demonstrated operating experience required.

NCCCO certification (or equivalent) for crane operation preferred; willing to train the right candidate.

Ability to read and interpret lift plans, load charts, and rigging specifications.

Strong understanding of OSHA crane and rigging regulations.

Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to climb in and out of equipment frequently throughout the shift.

Must be able to sit for extended periods while operating equipment.

Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

SCHEDULE

Monday through Friday; overtime and occasional Saturdays may be required based on production demands.
