Job Description
Total-Western, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and certified Crane Operator to join our team. The Certified Crane Operator will be responsible for operating various types of cranes to lift, move, and position heavy materials and equipment. This role is critical to the successful execution of construction and maintenance projects, requiring precision, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to operate cranes in challenging environments. Key Responsibilities
Crane Operation:
  • Safely operate various types of cranes, including mobile, tower, and overhead cranes, to lift and move materials and equipment.
  • Execute lifts according to job plans and engineering specifications, ensuring compliance with load charts and operational limits.
  • Conduct pre-operation inspections and perform routine maintenance checks on cranes to ensure they are in safe working condition.

Load Management:
  • Calculate load weights, select appropriate rigging, and ensure proper balance and secure attachment of loads.
  • Communicate with rigging crew and signalers to coordinate movements and ensure the safe handling of materials.

Safety and Compliance:
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and industry regulations to prevent accidents and injuries during crane operations.

Documentation and Reporting:
