Roles and Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate all on-site activities, including rigging, lifting and jack & roll operations, as well as personnel management.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies to create a safe working environment.
- Monitor operations and adjust as necessary to optimize efficiency.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and lifting systems to identify any installation and maintenance or repair needs.
- Coordinate with all levels of management, staff and clients to ensure effective operational completeness.
- Train and mentor team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Maintain accurate records of operations, equipment usage, and personnel performance.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Perform other duties as required.
Skills and Requirements:
- 2+ years previous experience in a supervisory/lead role in the rigging and hoisting/jack & roll industry is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of rigging and jack & roll operations, lifting equipment, and safety protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.
- Proven ability to provide exceptional customer service to clients.
- Experience in training crew members.
- Strong leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with crew members, vendors, and clients.
- Lead by example in instilling a strong safety culture.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Ability to read lift plans and site layout.
- Valid Class 5 with Q endorsement or Class 1 with Air Brakes is preferred.
- Journeyman, Boom Truck or Crane and Hoisting Apprentice is preferred.
