Job Overview

Are you a student looking to grow your woodworking skills in a realworld manufacturing environment? Marvin is seeking a Custom Window Builder Woodworking Intern to join our team for a handson summer internship experience. This internship supports students pursuing a degree in carpentry, cabinetry, or woodworking who want to learn from skilled craftsmen while contributing to custom, oneofakind products.

As an intern, you'll support the custom windowbuilding process from start to finish, working both independently and alongside experienced teammates. Windows produced in this department are unique in size and shape and are proudly installed in premier homes, architectdesigned spaces, and historic buildings.

This internship takes place in a clean, brightly lit, temperaturecontrolled facility in Warroad, Minnesota and provides a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience in custom woodworking and manufacturing.

Housing ProvidedTo support students relocating for the summer, companyprovided housing is available for the duration of the internship, allowing interns to focus on learning, growing their skills, and gaining handson experience without the burden of securing shortterm housing.

Highlights of your role
  • Assist in crafting custom windows from start to finish using a mix of automated technology and traditional woodworking tools
  • Learn to support creative solutions for building unique, madetoorder windows and doors
  • Help care for equipment in the MadeToOrder department, including assisting with jigs and fixtures used in the build process
  • Collaborate with skilled builders, engineers, and crossfunctional teams such as Research & Development, Special Projects, and Architectural
  • Practice safe work habits and maintain good housekeeping standards at all times
You're a good fit if you have (or if you can)
  • Currently enrolled in or pursuing a degree in carpentry, cabinetry, woodworking, or a related field
  • A high school diploma or GED (required)
  • An interest in custom woodworking and handson craftsmanship
  • Attention to detail and a desire to learn qualitydriven processes
Also want to make sure you have
  • Basic ability (or willingness to learn) to read work orders, drawings, or schematics
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a positive attitude in a handson learning environment
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
