Key responsibilities

  • Design and develop user flows and interfaces for Posh's platform, ensuring a cohesive user experience across mobile and web applications.

  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and growth teams to translate requirements into intuitive design solutions and incorporate user feedback.

Job description

About Posh
We are all social creatures, but the dominant "social" companies today have evolved into digital loneliness machines, driving isolation, anxiety, and mental health challenges around the world.
Human connection is lost. Posh is a beacon guiding us back.
Posh enables anyone to build an IRL community based on shared interests, while connecting consumers with the communities of people just like them. Founded by event organizers who were frustrated with the growing loneliness epidemic and the tools available to build their own event brand, we've built the ultimate platform for launching, monetizing, and finding IRL communities of people just like you. In just 6 years, Posh has grown to a team of 70, expanded to 8M+ users, secured $70m in venture funding, and facilitated over $350M in transactions.
About the Role
As a Senior Product Designer at Posh, you'll join a close-knit, high-performance team dedicated to transforming the live experience landscape. You'll play a crucial role in defining our user experience and crafting designs that engage and empower our users. Your work will directly impact how event organizers and attendees interact with our platform, spanning a two-sided mobile app that integrates social and event management features and a web application providing financial and marketing tools for businesses.
This is an in-person position at our New York City office, located in SoHo.
What You'll Learn & Achieve
  • System Design Excellence: Architect and design seamless user flows and intuitive interfaces, blending thoughtful system-level design with attention to fine details. Ensure that every interaction is purposeful and cohesive across POSH's platform.
  • Visual Craft & Aesthetic Taste: Bring a sharp eye for visual design, layout, and hierarchy, with a strong grasp of modern UI patterns and aesthetics. Confidently conceptualize new interfaces from scratch, crafting polished, brand-elevating experiences that feel cohesive across platforms.
  • Pragmatic, High-Impact Design: Rapidly produce high-quality designs that balance practicality with vision. Embrace agility while ensuring every element contributes to a cohesive and impactful user experience.
  • User-Centered, Data-Driven Decisions: Conduct in-depth user research and leverage data insights to inform design decisions. Ensure each design iteration is rooted in a balance of user feedback, data, and business objectives.
  • Collaborative Problem-Solving: Partner closely with product, engineering, and growth teams, leading the end-to-end design process and translating complex requirements into intuitive solutions. Sweat the details and drive high-quality execution that aligns with product goals.
  • Iterative, Impact-Driven Design: Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement, proactively gathering feedback and refining designs to maximize impact and quality.
  • Stakeholder Communication and Alignment: Engage with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to communicate the "why" behind design decisions, build alignment, and articulate the impact of design on business outcomes.

What We're Looking For:
  • 5+ years of product design experience, ideally in high-growth or early-stage environments.
  • Skilled at balancing fast-paced design iteration with quality, taking a pragmatic approach to execution.
  • Strong background in both system design and detailed execution, with a demonstrated ability to drive real-world results.
  • Experience crafting and maintaining design systems in Figma, with a focus on creating scalable, reusable components that balance consistency and flexibility.
  • Experience designing tools for business users or organizers; background from companies like Airbnb, Square, Toast, or similar is highly preferred.
  • Effective at managing multiple projects and priorities within a dynamic, high-speed setting.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a focus on transparency and efficiency in stakeholder alignment.
  • Open to feedback and dedicated to continuous improvement.
  • Proficient in design tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe Creative Suite) with a portfolio that demonstrates both strategic impact and attention to detail.
