Job description

As a Senior Product Designer, you'll be a key member of the Safety design team, playing a critical role in building the systems that keep Roblox safe, civil, and inclusive for a global community. You'll focus on creating platform-level designs and frameworks that support users in moments of need and uphold community standards across the entire Roblox ecosystem, across Creator, Player, and Brands.

Roblox's mission is to connect a billion people with optimism and civility. The safety organization is at the heart of that mission, working to detect, remove, and prevent problematic content and behavior at scale. We also ensure account security, platform compliance with global regulations, and a healthy, inclusive environment for users of all ages.

You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across product, engineering, and research, shaping the platform's approach to trust and safety through thoughtful design. This is an opportunity to work at the systems level-defining how safety is embedded across Roblox and designing reusable frameworks that power our vision of civil immersive online communities.

You will:

  • Create clear, compelling, and empathetic experiences that help users understand how safety's policies, processes, and systems are applied across the platform.
  • Design for diverse audiences-young users, teens, adults, brands, and developers-ensuring critical safety journeys are accessible, age-appropriate, and effective.
  • Collaborate with the Foundation Design Systems team to develop scalable, reusable patterns across safety features.
  • Use data, research, and experimentation to develop a deep understanding of user behavior-especially in moments of confusion, conflict, or rule-breaking-to inform design decisions and improve reform outcomes.
  • Partner cross-functionally with policy, product, and engineering teams to ensure quality, strategic alignment,and best-in-class user experience.
  • Help define the UX strategy and roadmap for flagship safety experiences that guide users toward safe, civil behavior on Roblox.

You have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in HCI, Interaction Design, Design, or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience (8+ years) in UX/UI design, with a strong track record of delivering impactful systems-level thinking and launching innovative consumer experiences.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing exceptional design skills and user-centered design thinking. Direct trust & safety experience is a plus but not required.
  • Strong systems thinking with the ability to understand and design for complex workflows and interactions.
  • Ability to balance business objectives, user needs, and technical constraints in design solutions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
