Job Summary:
Tryfacta is seeking a CNA / Nurse Assistant for our client in Newark, NY 14513. This is a 13-week contract assignment. If you meet the qualifications listed below and are interested, please Apply Now!
Position Title: CNA / Nurse Assistant
Location: Newark, NY 14513
Duration: 13 weeks
Work Schedule: Night 5x8-Hour (22:00 - 06:00)
Pay rate: $27.00 - $35.00 /hr.
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
  • Provide CNA care to residents on a specialized neurobehavioral unit serving residents with Alzheimer's and dementia.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, hygiene, feeding, ambulation, and personal care.
  • Assist with turning, repositioning, transfers, and safe patient mobility.
  • Provide routine catheter care and assist with incontinence and elimination care.
  • Obtain and record vital signs, weights, intake/output, and other required patient information.
  • Monitor residents and promptly report changes in patient condition to the appropriate healthcare team.
  • Follow infection control procedures, including proper PPE and isolation precautions.
  • Maintain clean and organized patient care areas and equipment.
  • Assist with pressure injury prevention, skin care, and other routine CNA duties.
  • Work effectively with residents who may demonstrate verbal or physical aggression due to behavioral conditions.
  • Perform other CNA duties as assigned.
  • Requirements:
  • Minimum 1 year of CNA/LTC experience required.
  • Active New York CNA certification/license in hand required.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Epic charting experience required.
  • Previous experience working with geriatric, Alzheimer's, and/or dementia patients preferred.
  • Experience providing care in an LTC/skilled nursing environment required.
  • Ability to work 10:00 PM-6:00 AM night shifts.
  • Must be available to work every other weekend.
  • Must be comfortable floating based on facility needs.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, organization, and patient-care skills required.
  • Must be comfortable working with residents who may have unpredictable verbal or physical behaviors.
