Job description

We are seeking a detailed-oriented Compliance Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be a crucial part in ensuring our deposit operations and disclosures align with federal and state regulations. While also serving as an integral member of the team responsible for managing our Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) program.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)
  • Regulatory Oversight: Monitor and review compliance requirements for deposit products, services, and operations (including Reg CC, Reg E, Reg DD, CRA, and UDAAP)
  • Compliance Review Execution: Execute assigned compliance reviews in accordance with the annual compliance review schedule, ensuring all scheduled reviews such as, but not limited to Reg E disputes, TISA, Reg CC exception holds, and garnishments.
  • CRA Examination Support: Assist with the preparation and organization of documentation for Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) Examinations.
  • ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESONSIBILITIES
  • Obtain and maintain current knowledge of changes in banking and financial compliance related laws and regulations regarding Reg E, TISA, Reg CC, and CRA
  • A general understanding of banking regulations.
  • Education and Work Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in banking operations, compliance, or a related financial service role.
  • Technical/Functional Competencies
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills including ability to interact with all levels of management.
  • Ability to work independently, and priority tasks as needed.
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
  • Exhibit leadership skills with a strong ability to communicate.
