Job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Manufacturing Loss Prevention Specialist to join our Risk Management department. The successful candidate will protect company assets through mitigating losses in Manufacturing plants. Lead assigned asset protection efforts through effective and efficient use of available resources, strong partnerships, investigational expertise, impactful training programs, and support of the Company’s core values. 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

• Conducts investigations and resolves product variances in assigned areas as directed, including root-causes and process recommendations to mitigate future loss exposures and forwards findings to Manager for investigational interviews.

• Creates strong partnerships among internal customer groups, third-party representatives, applicable vendors, law enforcement representatives, and other prosecutorial officials.

• Ensures established Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) standards are maintained.

• Facilitates training and awareness programs at assigned location, ensuring applicable operational opportunities and asset protection measures are communicated to appropriate facility teams.

• Advises plant management team on manufacturing facility security and loss prevention best practices.

• Works in unison within the Loss Prevention team to achieve department goals and objectives.

• Regularly supports Risk Management and Loss Prevention initiatives including, but not limited to investigations, facility events, training, and other support functions.

• Manages and represents Company in legal proceedings that relate to, but not limited to the theft of cash, merchandise or other property.

• Provides plant operational LP support, such as policy compliance checks, machine and area shutdown checks, RM-related alarm response, monitors local events, weather, travel, and traffic advisories, monitors and address parking concerns, responds after-hours and holidays, and acts as a first-aid responder.

• On-site physical security operations, including door checks, roof access, HVAC and wastewater facility checks, and entrance & exit parking controls.

• Physical security equipment assessments, testing, health checks, and troubleshooting. Serves as the local point-of-contact for all Loss Prevention (LP) systems.

WHAT IS REQUIRED:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education and experience.

• Minimum three years’ loss prevention experience.

• Investigations experience with a high-degree of analytical problem-solving abilities, and a producer of forensic-quality results.

• Comfortable creating and facilitating Loss Prevention presentations to a variety of audiences.

• Intermediate proficiency with all Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

• Ability to travel to other work locations as needed.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Physical security familiarization including, network video surveillance and recording systems, access control technology, intrusion alarms and basic fire detection and suppression systems.
