Registered Nurse (RN) Instructor / Clinical Instructor - Nursing Education
Location: Rochester, NY

Compensation: $45-$65 per hour or per class, based on experience
We are currently seeking experienced and motivated nursing professionals to join our education team as Registered Nurse (RN) Instructors and Clinical Instructors. This opportunity is ideal for nurses who are passionate about mentoring students, supporting hands-on learning, and helping develop the next generation of healthcare professionals.
We are especially interested in candidates with teaching or clinical experience in the following areas:

  • Medical Surgical Nursing

  • Family & Child Nursing
  • Clinical Skills Instruction
  • Patient Assessment & Care Planning

As an RN Instructor / Clinical Instructor, you will support nursing students in both classroom and clinical environments while ensuring high-quality instruction that aligns with academic and healthcare standards.
Position Responsibilities
Clinical Instruction
  • Supervise and support nursing students during clinical rotations in hospital and healthcare settings
  • Provide hands-on instruction in patient care, medication administration, documentation, IV therapy, assessments, and clinical procedures
  • Maintain a supportive and professional learning environment with a 1:10 instructor-to-student ratio
  • Reinforce patient safety, clinical judgment, and evidence-based nursing practices
  • Work collaboratively with faculty and healthcare staff to support student development
Classroom & Didactic Instruction
  • Teach and facilitate nursing courses for PN and nursing degree students
  • Deliver instruction in areas such as Fundamentals of Nursing, Medical Surgical Nursing, Family & Child Nursing, and related nursing coursework
  • Prepare lesson plans, classroom activities, and instructional materials
  • Proctor exams, skills evaluations, and competency assessments
  • Provide mentoring, feedback, and academic support to students throughout the program

Qualifications
  • MSN degree preferred, or BSN with current enrollment in an MSN program
  • Active New York State RN license in good standing
  • Current CPR certification
  • Clinical nursing experience required
  • Previous teaching, precepting, or staff education experience preferred
  • Infusion experience preferred for applicable clinical assignments
  • Ability to work effectively in both classroom and clinical settings
  • Must be able to complete background screening, drug screening, and compliance requirements

Schedule Options
Clinical Instruction:
  • 12-hour shifts beginning at 5:45 AM or 6:15 AM
  • Day and evening opportunities available

Classroom Instruction:
  • Monday-Friday schedules
  • 15-week course assignments
