Job Title: CPPA Sales Operations Senior Manager

TotalEnergies is implementing a global Integrated Power Business Unit which brings together its assets and capabilities to deliver power solutions to consumers across the power value chain. It will combine renewable energy, dispatchable or flexible assets, behind the meter solutions, wholesale markets and customer tools to monetize TotalEnergies renewable energy and provide value added low carbon power solutions to customers.

Integrated Power provides power-related solutions in both regulated and deregulated markets for B2B and local utility customers. Within Integrated Power, the Large Business-to-Business (B2B) & Corporate Power Purchase Agreement (CPPA) team is essential to delivering this new ambition.

The Large B2B & CPPA function has three key roles in the Integrated Power Business :

  • Secure offtake for TotalEnergies' renewable production at the best prices and lowest risk profile through structured PPAs
  • Package together TotalEnergies' capabilities on the power value chain into comprehensive and structured solutions and market to consumers capturing the added value that combining solutions creates
  • Develop flexibility for TotalEnergies by leveraging customer site/behind the meter opportunities e.g. DSR/DSM, battery, generation assets, DG, EV, H2 etc., that can be valuable for the company.

The CPPA Sales Operations Senior Manager will be responsible for managing and optimizing the operational backbone of the CPPA group. This role oversees the group's sales funnel and outreach activities, develops and maintains CPPA valuation tools, and ensures effective coordination across TTE's Integrated Power businesses, including Development and Trading.

The Sales Operations Senior Manager will lead internal and HQ reporting activities, develop and maintain systems to ensure compliance with PPA contractual requirements, and train and mentor the group's associate pool. In addition, this role contributes to the leadership of the CPPA group by helping to set strategic goals and fostering a culture of accountability, accuracy, and professionalism.

Depending on the successful candidate's background and qualifications, opportunities may also exist to lead business and market strategy initiatives, with responsibility shared across the CPPA group.

Reporting to TTE's Head of Corporate PPAs within the Flexible Power and Integration Business Unit, the Sales Operations Senior Manager role is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to join a growing team at the nexus of TTE's integrated power strategy in North America. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping TTE's Integrated Power business establish a leading position in the North American power market. This individual can sit at our office in Berkeley, CA or our headquarters in Houston, TX.

Key Responsibilities

  • Funnel Management: Manage systems and processes to monitor the growth and progression of the CPPA sales funnel, including maintaining CRM (Largo) data and managing relationships with third-party customers, advisors, and brokers.
  • Analytics & Valuation: Develop, update, and maintain valuation models to assess PPAs and other contracts under negotiation, including collaboration with internal forecasting and analytics teams to ensure accurate model inputs.
  • Integrated Power Coordination: Manage interactions with internal development and trading teams to ensure accurate and timely sharing of pipeline and contract information with appropriate stakeholders.
  • Reporting: Produce and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and forecasts to support local leadership and Paris-based reviews and meetings.
  • Contract Management: Develop and maintain systems to ensure contractual compliance milestones are tracked, observed, and met.
  • Group Leadership & Special Projects: Partner with the Head of Corporate PPAs to support group leadership, strategic goal-setting, and cultural excellence, and lead ad hoc business and market strategy initiatives shared across the CPPA group.

Profil du candidat

  • 5+ years' experience in renewable energy project sales, sales operations and management/business development
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related field, or equivalent education and experience required; MBA or equivalent post-graduate degree preferred
  • Experience setting and articulating data-based business strategies that drive alignment and tangible, revenue-generating activity across target audiences
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Strong working knowledge of key financial metrics (NPV, IRR, etc.) required
  • Ability to work effectively with executive leadership and across all departments in the organization
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
