Job description

SUMMARY:

A well-established New York law firm is seeking an Insurance Coverage Attorney with experience handling insurance coverage litigation matters. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex coverage disputes, declaratory judgment actions, and policy analysis within a collaborative insurance practice group.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Handle insurance coverage litigation matters from inception through resolution

- Draft coverage opinions, reservation of rights letters, and position letters

- Manage declaratory judgment actions and related motion practice

- Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda

- Analyze insurance policies and advise clients on coverage issues

- Collaborate with partners and clients on litigation strategy and case management

QUALIFICATIONS:

- J.D. from an accredited law school

- Active admission to the New York Bar required

- 5+ years of insurance coverage litigation experience

- Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills

- Experience drafting coverage opinions and position letters preferred

- New Jersey Bar admission is a plus

- Ability to manage cases independently in a hybrid work environment
