Senior Facility Services Technician
Full Time, 80 Hours Per Pay Period, Night Shift
Fort Sanders Regional Overview:
Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center is a 444-bed hospital recognized for pairing clinical expertise with advanced medical technology to deliver exceptional care. As a Joint Commission Comprehensive Stroke Center, we provide leading-edge treatment for stroke recovery. Our facility also offers specialized services in bariatric surgery, robotic surgery, minimally invasive spine procedures, and advanced orthopedic care.

Position Summary:
Performs or directs general, routine, and highly technical maintenance, construction, and repair activities. Work includes responsibility for generalized knowledge in a broad area of crafts and skills in the specialty area with at least a journey level knowledge.
Responsibilities
  • Assures complete and proper logging of files, records and required cost computation of time spent, materials and supplies used for each completed requisition or work order.
  • Organizes and maintains inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies. Recommends purchases for new equipment.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of programs to maintain the physical plant, grounds and equipment of the facilities through effective use of personnel.
  • Assigns individual tasks, requisitions supplies and equipment and oversees work of contractors. Trains and guides technicians in unfamiliar tasks.
  • Performs maintenance, preventative maintenance, repairs, and installations. Takes lead in challenging group projects.
  • Assists in all areas of specialty as needed.
  • Local travel required.
  • Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards. Completes required education assignments annually. Works toward achieving goals and objectives, and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Minimum Education:
None specified; however, must be sufficient to meet the standards for achievement of the below indicated license and/or certification as required by the issuing authority.
Minimum Experience:
Three (3) to Five (5) years of experience performing maintenance, construction, or repair activities required.
Licensure Requirement:
Only the Senior Facility Service Technicians whose responsibility requires HVAC duties must have EPA universal technician license. Must have a valid Tennessee driver's license Class D and state mandated minimum insurance coverage. Driving record must meet Covenant Health minimum standards at the date of hire and throughout employment tenure.
