Join a premier, physician-driven team in Michigan’s vibrant Great Lakes Bay Region.  Covenant HealthCare is seeking a dedicated Family Medicine Physician to deliver exceptional patient-centered care within our collaborative outpatient practices.

Opportunity Overview & Practice Highlights:

  • Pure Outpatient Focus: Zero hospital coverage required. A robust, employed Hospitalist team handles all inpatient care and admissions.
  • Exceptional Work-Life Balance:
    • Standard 4.5-day schedule (36 patient contact hours + 4 administrative hours).
    • 4-day workweek options available depending on clinic coverage.
    • Standard Hours: Mon–Thu 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (1-hour lunch); Fri 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM.
    • No mandatory weekend or evening hours.
  • Light Shared Call: Triage-supported phone call only, shared among primary care colleagues.
  • Balanced Patient Volume: Transitioned to an efficient 15/30-minute appointment model, with built-in flexibility to extend time for complex patient needs.
  • Robust Support System: Dedicated Medical Assistant (MA) per physician, onsite clinic management, check-in/check-out clerical MAs, and access to Lead MAs and expanding Case Manager coverage.
  • Advanced Technology & AI Tools:
    • Epic EMR with full support from Onsite Support Assistants (OSAs) and seamless inpatient/ED transition updates.
    • DeepScribe AI documentation is active in almost every clinic to significantly reduce administrative burdens.
  • Clinical Autonomy: Perform minor office procedures based on your personal preference. All sites feature virtual visit capability and Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) / CPC+ designations.
