About the Role:
The Courtesy Clerk at Grocery Outlet is on the front line when it comes to providing great service to our customers. The Courtesy Clerk's job includes bagging groceries for customers, providing carryout service as required, checking prices, and gathering shopping carts from the parking lot. This position also works to ensure that our customers have a clean store to shop by quickly cleaning up spills or other messes and keeping the shopping carts clean and ready for use. The Courtesy Clerk position is an entry-level position in our store but could be the start of a great and fulfilling career with Grocery Outlet.
Responsibilities Include:
  • Bending, walking, standing, lifting and kneeling for extended periods of time.
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs. frequently.
  • Duties in various parts of store in different temperatures and work environments.
  • Interacting with customers, associates, truck drivers, and vendors, all with a smile.

About The Pay:
  • Base Salary: $18.40 hr

  • Final compensation will be determined based upon experience and skills and may vary based on location.

About You:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be 18 years or older to apply.
  • Able to deliver friendly, courteous, prompt customer service.
  • Able to interpret, understand, and follow instructions.
  • Must pass drug and background check.
  • Flexible schedule, available to work weekends and evenings.
  • Ability to work in harmony with others as a team member.
  • Prefer previous Grocery or Retail experience.
