Food Court Supervisor

Summary

Under direct supervision of the Director, provides general supervision for the Food & Beverage daily operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for the delivery of service for Food & Beverage functions.

Responsible for quality control of items being server

Trains team members, organizes workloads, directs staff and provides proper coverage as needed.

Ensures the interior surroundings are safe, clean, and professional.

Responsible for maintaining supplies and service ware.

Creates schedules according to functions.

Provides exceptional service to all guests.

Performs and monitors payroll functions for FC/Deli staff.

Counseling, and/or disciplinary action and other supervisory responsibilities.

Works with the Food & Beverage Department to coordinate all functions.

Contributes to a team effort and accomplishes related results as required.

This position is not limited to those duties listed in the job description. Duties and responsibilities can be changed, expanded, reduced or deleted to meet business needs of the company.

Requirements

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodations. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or GED plus two years recent dining room food service experience; or equivalent combination of experience and education.

Knowledge, Abilities, Skills, and Certifications:

  • Knowledge of dining, buffet and food maintenance operations and guest service.
  • Knowledge of all menu items including entrees, side dishes, beverages and desserts.
  • Knowledge of Micros systems.
  • Knowledge of supervisory techniques.
  • Knowledge of computers.
  • Ability to service customers in a professional appearance and manner.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work in a stressful and busy environment.
  • Skill in interpersonal and customer relations.
  • Ability to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written and oral instructions.
  • Must be able to obtain a New Mexico Alcohol Servers Permit

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

  • Standing and walking during entire shift covering large areas
  • Reaches, bends, stoops, lifts, carries and pushes
  • Lifts and carries supplies, tubs, and cases, weighing up to 50lbs
  • Essential hand/eye coordination
  • Work is normally performed in a typical interior bar work environment
  • Noise level is moderate to high
  • Moderate or high exposure to cigarette smoke
  • Limited exposure to physical risk
  • Moderate physical effort required
