SALARY INFORMATION Court Operations Supervisor I Hourly Range: $36.71 to $45.67 Anticipated Starting Rate: $36.71 BENEFIT HIGHLIGHTS Defined Benefit Retirement Plan (2.50% at 67 formula) Choice of five medical plans Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA) Vacation and sick leave packages 14 paid holidays per year Tuition reimbursement Optional deferred compensation program (457 plan) TELEWORK/ON-SITE OPPORTUNITY The Court Operations Supervisor job classification may be eligible for a combination of telework and on-site work assignments after 6 months of employment for employees who are in good standing. Telework must be completed from a pre-designated home-based location within the State of California, and employees may be required to report on-site to address business needs. Telework is at the sole discretion of the Court and may be rescinded with 48 hours' notice, based on the needs of the Orange County Superior Court

Opportunity Details THE POSITION The Court Operations Supervisor I learns to coordinate and oversee daily court operations, including supervising staff responsible for courtroom operations, case processing, and specialized areas. The position ensures compliance with court policies and oversees staff and assesses needs, while providing guidance to staff and others to maintain operational efficiency, and provides high-quality service to judicial officers, the public, and court staff. The position provides administrative support to higher-level management staff and performs related duties as assigned.
The Court Operations Supervisor I is the entry-level classification reporting to a higher-level operations staff, and assignments could vary in location, along with case and operation type. The position is required to exercise excellent judgment and perform duties with the highest degree of integrity in order to uphold the public's trust and confidence in the administration of justice. The Court Operations Supervisor I is used for training purposes and will be expected to gradually perform a broader range of duties with increasing responsibility and independence as experience is gained.
The Court Operations Supervisor I is expected to qualify for advancement to Court Operations Supervisor II by the end of a twelve (12) month probationary period. There is no permanent status in this classification. Upon advancement to Court Operations Supervisor II, incumbents are placed on a six (6) month promotional probation period.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: OPTION I Three (3) years of full-time (or equivalent) experience in a court environment performing duties in case processing, calendaring, or other court-related duties. OPTION II Three (3) years of full-time (or equivalent) legal supervisory experience in a closely related legal environment such as City Attorney, County Counsel, District Attorney, Public Defender, Probation Department, or large law firm with 20 or more attorneys.
EDUCATION SUBSTITUTION: Graduation with an associate's degree from an accredited college or university in the fields of business, public administration, criminal justice, or a closely related field may substitute for one (1) year of required experience. Note: To receive substitution credit, a copy of your official college transcripts must be included with your application.
