Job description

Summary Employee in this position is responsible for providing secretarial and case management support to the Probation Officer. Position is open until filled. Job Duties Prepare letters to clients and the Court; coordinate case Management, including maintenance of files, contact with applicable agencies and related duties.

Monitor court Orders, set up classes, notify clients, collect and disperse monies, monitor progress and complete requirements and related duties. Process the various requirements of the Deferred Prosecution program, including files, record checks and other necessary tasks; coordinate compliance checks with various associated agencies. Perform other tasks as directed.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Familiar with tools, instruments, equipment and techniques commonly used in the performance of related tasks. Maintains a high standard for accuracy, completeness and efficiency in the preparation of reports. Ability to quickly grasp new techniques, deal with rapid changes in events, remain calm in stressful situations, relate to various personality styles in a professional manner.

Effectively communicate with others for purposes of gathering and relating information. Understands the need for maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information. Independent and self-motivated to complete required deadlines while simultaneously completing other tasks.

Familiarity with court processes and legal terminology. Education, Experience & Certifications High school diploma or equivalent, and as otherwise indicated. Prior experience in Probation and/or Secretarial work preferred.
