Court Clerk I

The Heber Valley Justice Court is seeking to fill a part-time Court Clerk I position, working up to 20 hours per week. Responsibilities include performing a variety of administrative and clerical duties such as maintaining accurate records, updating and tracking case files, reviewing citation abstracts, monitoring defendant payment activity, and ensuring compliance with court requirements. The role also involves scheduling proceedings, responding to public inquiries regarding trial or hearing dates, providing procedural information, and managing sensitive and confidential documents and data with a high level of discretion and accuracy. Required Graduation from High School or equivalent, with a background in professional office practices and procedures. AND At least one (1) year of relevant experience OR An equivalent combination of education and experience Preferred Spanish speaking Advanced knowledge of legal and court terminology, justice court processes, case management and processing Working knowledge of CORIS software and records

Successfully passing a pre-employment background check and drug screening is contingent on employment.
