Job description

Litigation Legal Assistant Location: Seattle, WA (Hybrid) Compensation: $72,000 - $85,000 DOE Schedule : Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
A well-established litigation firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant to support a busy defense litigation practice. This role is ideal for a candidate who can step into an active desk, manage a high-volume workload, and contribute with minimal training.
Responsibilities
  • Draft, proofread, edit, and redline pleadings, correspondence, discovery, and other legal documents
  • Manage attorney calendars, litigation deadlines, and case schedules
  • Coordinate hearings, depositions, mediations, and client meetings
  • Prepare and electronically file documents in Washington state and federal courts
  • Assist with discovery, service of process, and case management
  • Open and maintain client matters and organize case files
  • Monitor deadlines and ensure compliance with court rules and procedures
  • Provide proactive support in a fast-paced litigation environment
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of litigation legal assistant experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of Washington state and federal court filing procedures
  • Thorough knowledge of litigation deadlines, local court rules, and case management processes
  • Experience supporting busy litigators with minimal supervision
  • Excellent organizational, proofreading, and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize competing deadlines and work independently
  • Experience with legal document management systems is a plus
