Job description

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Maintains all golf course areas and maintenance facility. Involves use of hand-held type equipment such as:

Weed eater Self-propelled walking mower
Backpack and push blowers Fly-mower
Edger Rake and shovel
Dew whips Core pusher
Picks and pitchforks Level lawn
  • Operate utility cart in a safe manner always keeping feet inside the cart
  • Maintains sprinkler heads and valve boxes
  • Maintains bunkers
  • Maintains cart paths (edge and blow)
  • Walk Mow Greens and Tees
  • Daily cleanup of equipment and facility
  • Blow Fairways and Rough
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and report any issues or repairs needed to the Equipment Manager.
  • Spread pine and hardwood mulch 3 times per week. Involves standing, load/unload mulch and hand spreading.
  • All other duties as required by the supervision.

Safety Responsibilities and Requirements:
  • Performs job responsibilities and operates equipment according to the company safety and training programs.
  • Use personal protective equipment as trained and required. Wear safety glasses, ear plugs, steel toe boots when required, sunscreen, gloves, and seatbelts when required.
  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment.
  • Report safety or hazard concerns to management.
  • Reports any on the job injury to management immediately.
  • Take personal responsibility for safety every day.
  • Report equipment issues to Equipment Manager immediately.

Qualifications:
  • Prefer previous experience on golf course or construction site (including use of Heavy Equipment)
  • Operate equipment with precision and care.
  • Must be able to bend, stretch and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, kneel and work in various weather conditions.
  • Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Open to receiving feedback regarding performance
  • Punctuality is a must.
  • Knowledge of golf rules and etiquette is a plus.

Schedule:
  • Golf Course Maintenance operates 7 days per week. Employees must be available to work weekends and overtime hours as required.
