Job description

Neonatologist โ€“ Reno, NV

Because tiny humans need big-time heroes!

Hey there, Neonatology Superstar! Are you ready to swap your stethoscope for some serious job satisfaction in the breathtaking landscape of Nevada? We're on the hunt for not one, but TWO full-time Neonatologists to join our growing NICU unit. If the idea of snuggling preemies (medically, of course), managing a dynamic unit, and being a life-saving rockstar excites you, then keep reading!

What's the Gig?
  • You'll be leading the charge in a Level 2 NICU that's leveling up to Level 3 within the next year (think of it as a neonatology glow-up).
  • Currently, we have 12 beds, but like any good baby, we're growing!
  • Approximately 1,400 annual deliveriesโ€”yep, we keep pretty busy welcoming the tiniest Nevadans.
  • Daily census? Around 6.9 babies (and before you ask, no, we don't count half a babyโ€”just an average).
Your Daily Adventures Will Include:

Managing infants born at 32 weeks or later and weighing 1,500 grams or more (cutest patients ever). Providing care for convalescent tiny warriors after their intensive care journey. Handling mechanical ventilation for short-term cases (less than 24 hoursโ€”just a little extra support). Stabilizing and transferring the super preemies (under 32 weeks and 1,500 grams). Treating infants exposed to perinatal substance use (we've got the scoring and pharmacologic treatment covered). Managing low-birth-weight babies who just need a little extra TLC (a.k.a. feedings, monitoring, and extended nursing care). Providing critical care interventions as needed, from CPR to cardiac monitoring and oxygen therapy.

The Schedule & Perks:

A mix of in-house daytime shifts and on-call overnights (response time: 30 minutesโ€”so no, you can't live on a mountain). Competitive payโ€”let's talk numbers! 1,100 annual admissionsโ€”plenty of cuteness to go around. A chance to grow with a team that's expanding and innovating every day.

Why You'll Love Reno, NV:

Where else can you work miracles by day and hit the slopes, kayak a river, or try your luck at a world-class casino by night? Reno's got it allโ€”outdoor adventure, a buzzing city scene, and zero state income tax (more money for you!).

Apply Today!

We're looking for compassionate, highly skilled Neonatologists who want to make a real difference in the lives of these little fighters. If you're ready to join a growing team, we'd love to hear from you!
